Bouldering wonderland. Wind can be daunting but not as bad as jumbo rocks. Even the vault toilets cant take a star away from this true national treasure.

Beautiful campground! Great stargazing and convenient location to town and the eastern park entrance. We loved our site - could scramble up the rocks. Although there is no water in the campground, it was easy to refill water bottles at the ranger station on the way in.

This site is close to the local towns/restaurants, and there was still an amazing view of the nights sky. Lots of climbing activity and a nature walk right at the site. So grateful for our Parks system!

Indian Cove is breathtaking. Easily the coolest campsite Ive stayed at. The perfect way to start our stay in Joshua Tree! Excited to return sometime soon.

Had a great night at Indian Cove. Exactly what we needed. Reserved the site the day of our stay and it was marked reserved when arrived. Beautiful area and each site makes you feel like you are the only one out there. Would definitely return!

This was the first J.T. campground we ever stayed at and I'm convinced it's one of the best in the park. It's less crowded than Jumbo and there are still plenty of rocks to climb and sites to explore. Grab a spot surrounded by boulders and you'll have your own personal amphitheater. You'll have access to a pit toilet, no water but there's a convenience store not too far down the road, on the way out of the site to the park. It's not directly in the park, but I promise you won't regret booking this site.

Good- Great alternative to Jumbo Rocks, lots of places to climb and explore, well-kept bathrooms with lots of tp. You do not need a parks pass to camp here.Bad- I have never seen so many people drive this fast in a campground, especially on the road that includes spots (2-7) its a bit dangerous for kids as camp sites are close to road and the fast cars also make a lot of dust. A lot of these drivers seemed to be coming for the day-use climbing area but it might really help to post some signs with low speed limits.

Great location with most sites well spaced among the giant rocks.

Campground is gorgeous and fairly close to both the north and west entrances, making it a good launching point to explore the park from.
