Very quiet and beautiful scenery. Campsites are rather small. Although we were sharing the area with another couple, they were very quiet and the experience was great.

Awesome spot with a killer rock formation right behind the site

We had a wonderful stay at Indian Cove Campground! The setting is absolutely stunningnestled among the iconic rock formations of Joshua Tree, its the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Each campsite is well-maintained and comes with a sturdy picnic table, which made our family meals especially enjoyable. Stargazing here is a real treatthe night sky is breathtakingly clear, offering a spectacular view of the stars.A helpful tip for future campers: tent site sizes are limited, so if youre planning to set up more than one tent, its best to reserve two adjacent sites if possible. Alternatively, look for a site at the end of a loop for a bit more space and privacy. The bathrooms were clean and well-kept throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. Just remember to bring your own water, as theres no potable water available at the campground. And please be mindful of wildlifedispose of your trash properly in the designated bins to keep critters away from your site.Overall, Indian Cove is a gem for campers who love scenic views, peaceful nights, and a true desert experience. We cant wait to come back!

Highly recommend!!! It's tough getting last-minute RV reservations. We met some cool people who advised us - we toured Joshua Tree - Heart Rock and Arch Rock. Amazing!!!! After this visit, we had to move on with nowhere to stay. We went to the General Powell Museum outside Joshua Tree. They have FREE RV stay for up to 7 days. Just be sure you visit the amazing Museum and learn about our former general who was dyslexic. This is my specialty as a reading specialist so it meant a great deal to me!

Clean, well kept campground. So beautiful. Nature trail and rock climbing super fun for visitors. Rangers and volunteers did a great job of patrolling. Felt safe& conveniently located close to Joshua Tree National Park. Some internet connectivity but spotty due to the giant boulders. Will return again.

Nice spot, even though the access to site is outside the park you are really close to all major sites.

This is very popular campground. I had to check availability every week to find a campsite at the reservation site. I stayed at #17. It was the only available site and all other sites were sold out. So plan early and check the availability frequently. The camp ground was surrounded by large rocks and had excellent views. We hiked a small loop at the campground (about 0.6 mile). There were some interesting desert plants to watch. We also took a short car ride to 49 palms oasis trail. The trail had some elevation and can get hot. So be prepared for brining lots of water. It was great to see palm tress in the desert mountains. The campsite was 2.5 miles away from the town, Indian Cove. So if you need to eat or buy during stay, a quick trip to the town is also an option. I will definitely revisit there again when camp sites are available.

The entire campground is a giant rock park your kids can run out and explore while still being within the comfort of your campsite. The restrooms were clean despite being without water. Do you be careful with the bees make sure you cover everything that has liquid. Skull πŸ’€ trail is within the park it’s short and fun doable with the kids. Right across the Campsite are several other trails you can take with her short for kids as well. Have fun

The campsite we ended up in didn't allow much distance from the tent next to it. Didn't really matter as everyone was quite at night. The landscape is incredible and the boulders right above the campsite are super fun to play in and on. The nearby canyon is fun to explore and it's not too far from an oasis to hike to. Great spot. Want to return with rock climbing and bouldering gear.

Easy to find an available spot and reserve it. Found it no problem when I got there as well. Spot was marked as reserved for me. Easy!

Great place in the middle of scenic view and desert nature. Clean, not crowdy. The very first first night I spent there as the only visitor. Well equipped with fireplaces and easy to reach with a car. Must-see in a walking distance is a canyon of a dried river with nature trail loop.
