Awesome site and awesome campground. Would definitely recommend. More space and arguably more to explore here than Jumbo Rocks Campground. This particular site has a lot of space and backs right up to some places to explore. Only downfall is that its close to the entrance so you do get some traffic with latecomers/early risers

Loved this spot, very convenient for park access and access to the town. Tons of beautiful rocks to climb for views. Climbers come around early in the morning so be prepped that youll have some fun company near by once the sun comes up :) 10/10 would stay here again.

Beautiful, secluded, comfortable, and well-maintained! Sits against one of the coolest rock formations in the park. We had a brief visit from a desert mouse but no other animal encounters.Note that you cant drive your car into the campsite (there are large rocks separating the parking spot from the camping area), so any car-tent or car-tarp combos will be difficult to use. Slippery downslope between parking spot and tent area may be difficult for folks with mobility issues to navigate. Additionally, rock climbers may need to walk through this site to climb the rock faces behind it.A short walk to cell service if you care about that.

One of the best sites in the campground.

Beautiful, pristine site. Unique. We were there on the weekend. Quite a few climbers. They were considerate, and passed through, but did not intrude.

Indian Cove Campground was phenomenal with some of the best sites Ive seen, nestled into the rock formations in a very interesting way.

Great campground at a little lower altitude with plenty of surrounding boulders to scramble and also rope climb. Conveniently close (15 mins) to civilization in case you forgot anything or want to eat in town.

Was the most beautiful experience! Site was very clean! Easy find. Just make sure if station is closed you follow the dirt road straight and you will find all camp sites. We will for sure come back!!!

Gorgeous campground. The way the sun hits the towering rock formations at both sunset and sunrise is magical. At night the moon was full and no clouds. The rocks looked amazing. Definitely hot during the day in august but the nights were worth it.

Indian Cove campground is surrounded by "the wonderland of rocks". The best scrambling anywhere. I always hike in Rattlesnake canyon which is at the end of Indian cove on the road past sites 1-18. Quiet, great time.

Campground in great shape. Park personnel friendly and efficient.

Stayed 2 nights in April. This campground is great as it is not connected to the main attractions of park so you don’t have the day visitors walking past your site. Most sites are nestled next to large boulders which gives that extra sense of seclusion. Some sites are on the small side so choose wisely. Joshua is beautiful in April. It can get a little hot during the day but the mornings, evenings, and nights are perfect. There are no food lockers and the squires and kangaroo rats are not shy so make sure to lock your food when not attended!

I love this campground. It’s easily accessible and you don’t have to pay the park entrance to use it. Close to trails, good climbing in the campground, what more could you ask for?
