Beautiful scenery and and awesome night sky. Plenty of trails to hike and bike an close to town for the essentials. Worth it!

The petroglyphs are amazing! This is a beautiful, remote area with spiritual vibes. The spacious campground has very clean pit toilets. We saw a lot of wildlife!

Host was very accommodating when we asked to change site. Recent rains had flooded our original site. Spectacular scenery..Nature trail is good and you can hike just about anywhere. Looking forward to coming back.

I stayed in spot 48. The campsite overall was AMAZING with incredible views and situated amongst the massive boulders. My only complaint was how close the neighbors were on both sides. It was like we were all sharing one spot instead of three individual spots.

Beautiful campsite. Well-kept grounds. Plenty of trash cans and recycling bins.

Loved our stay at Indian Cove Campground. The site was sheltered from the wind, private, just perfect for our sprinter van. We enjoyed the hikes nearby, the beautiful rocks that surrounded the campground and the serene beauty. We will definitely come back to this site.

Seems like the park services are way under staffed. I never saw a single campground representative to check me in, tell me rules or anything. Drove to my site and stayed my time. The terrain is beautiful and 29 palms has anything you need. The porta John’s we’re pretty nasty doesn't seem like they are maintained. To their defense it was high 90s all week, that normal for JTNP.

Excellent facilities (except lacking water). Terrific scenery. Good climbing. Privacy is lacking due to close proximity of campsites.

Amazing campsites! Love the boulders to climb on, family friendly, the backlit rock walls with campfires made for an especially stunning evening!

Wonderful campground! Each campsite is roomy with rock formations providing partial privacy and a fantastic background for adventures and nightime campfires. The outhouses are well maintained and trash recepticles are accessible and allow for recycling. Although Indian Cove campground is isolated from the loop road that passes through the center of the national park, climbers and scramblers can easily spend days exploring the nearby formations. And there is virtuallly no vehicle traffic within miles of the campground so it is quiet and safe.

I very much enjoyed this unique campground. The campsites are mostly up against the beautiful rock formations making night time with campfire very cool with the fire light reflecting off the boulders. The only drawback is the lack of any natural screening between campsites which are very close together.

This was our first actual camping trip to Joshua Tree (we did a day trip a few years back). The campground and our site were very nice though it was a little snug getting our travel trailer into the site. The campground was well maintained and we really enjoyed being in the park with access to all the trails all around us. We did visit one of the park visitor centers and found it informative and filled with interesting souvenirs.
