Awesome location. Spot 22 worked great for our 35 ft 5th wheel and even had room to park the truck. There are not many spaces in the park that looked big enough for us. Minus one star for the inadequate generator hours to charge our batteries. 5 to 7 PM at night was just not enough to get us through the night.

We were in site 22 which is a split site shared with 21. I had a hard time locating it because signs pointing to sites left off 21 and 22. Site was not very level. We have a 25 foot class C with hydraulic levelers and had to break out the LEGO blocks to place under the levelers to get level.

This site had its own parking spot with enough room for many vehicles. Good cover from the wind and plenty of rocks to climb. Only one neighbor is close, and small areas for tents so leave the big tent at home.

Great Campground. You're in the boulders and five minutes from a convenience store, yet, you feel completely removed.

Fantastic! What an amazing spot! No crowds, the weather was perfect, and the scenery was spectacular!

Fantastic experience.. many over the years in fact. I am a Geologist,.. and most of my projects are in the Mojave Desert. Joshua Tree NP is unique. once a National Monument, and gladly now a National Park. Well deserved. Everything from Pre-cambrian rocks to Holocene sediments. The staff are passionate about preserving the park and making visitors experience one of a kind. I once taught the Geology of National Parks and Monuments, and there are so many unique Geologic characteristics of Joshua Tree, that it was discussed in every class, as I was not able to cover every NP and Monument.

Nice and quiet, removed from the craziness of the people in the park.

Very wide area with plenty of space. Beautiful surroundings made of beautiful granite boulders and rocky hills . Many different trails to explore. We had coyotes patrolling our area.
Amazing experience!!!

Someone was in our site #22 when we arrived. They were not happy when I made them move. Signs said camp ground was full. It was more than half empty everyday. That’s a shame. you need more first come first spots. Not enough bigger rv sites. Boulders placed make it difficult to pull in a lot of spots. You need more help at the gates to back up on weekends. No maps of camp grounds. Outside of that we loved the park. Barker dam was my favorite hike. We also like black rock. I would not recommend hiking with out a GPS map and lots of H20.

We really enjoyed our campsite at Indian Cove. It was more private than some and we had both sun and shade! Fortunately our neighbors were quiet and respectful. Too often we’ve had noisy campers nearby that make for unpleasant stays. We lucked out this time! Please find a way to monitor party campers.

I love the landscape of Indian Cove campground, how the sites are nestled among the granite boulders. The only water source near the campground is at the ranger station, which was difficult to find and use to fill large jugs. Otherwise, we had a great experience!

What a lovely location to camp. Our spot was right next to a huge bolder and surrounded by gorgeous rocks. Sites are spacious - the only probably we had was finding our site. (Recommend you stop and read the map as you enter, we had a 32ft RV.)

Beautiful campground. Been there on new moon night & full moon might. Both amazing. The sunsets & sunrises are gorgeous. Toilets are clean & well maintained. One of my favorite places to camp at.
