Great campground, but it said it was full and there was maybe 10 people in the whole campground

I cant say this was my favorite camping experience. The campsite was nice and flat plenty of room for our 8 person tent however it was SO windy I dont think anyone slept well we thought our tent might blow away. Also apparently they never change out the reserved signs so when we showed up some regulars at the campground were occupying our campsite rock climbing which was kind of confusing and also uncomfortable. They said that they keep reserved signs on all the sites all the time. Which obviously causes confusion. There are also no Joshua trees on the campsite or even near it so if you want a true Joshua tree experience maybe try a different spot. Also found a tarantula under our tent when packing up

An excellent spot to go camping, especially if you like bouldering! I have family who does it so definitely gonna recommend it to them! The breeze helped a lot in keeping cool, the site had some leftover stuff from the previous group but thats definitely not on the park, and the spot was wonderful to watch the Meteor Shower!

Delightful 2 night stay. Clean vault toilets, water at Ranger Station easy to access. Convenient to West and East sides of the park. We hiked the Discovery Trail as our warm up and then to Willow Hole for a great time in the rock formations.

Nice campground. Campsites are nicely situated in a rocky area, with a grill, table, and fire pit. Easy to get to and very quiet.

I have to say that the campsite was clean and well-kept and a great area for kids to play around in the site. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Cell coverage was spotty, but we were able to get some coverage when walking around the campground. We used a tent and a shade tent over the picnic table. We were able to see the Milky Way on a clear night, shooting starts, and even the Starlink Satellite train (it looked like a glowing worm)! There was a fire ban in effect, so we were not able to do a campfire. I have nothing but great things for the actual campground. On the other hand, the mosquitoes were HORRIBLE. I think it's the time of year that we stayed, so I would not recommend camping this time of year even if YOU'RE PREPARED for these bugs. Even with candles and the cans of bug spray we used, my husband and I and our 4 kids were getting bitten everywhere. Face, neck, hands, legs, and everywhere in between. On our last day we were breaking down everything (6-8am), we are all miserable because we were one of the two groups left at the campground and the bugs came and it was relentless. I would highly recommend camping in the Fall and Spring to minimize the amount of bugs present.

Great campground! You get more privacy than the in park campgrounds. There are great boulders surrounding you that are terrific for climbing. The bathrooms were cleaner than expected. Only con was how close our site was to the road, the road around the campsite is dirt/rocks so it’s pretty loud at night.

Take plenty of water and have a plan on how you’re going to spend the hottest part of the day. We spent it driving through the national park and stoping off at certain locations rather than hiking. Mornings are windy so make sure belongings are secure

Awesome campsite with huge boulders and rocks that you can climb on. Very beautiful scenery and facilities. Bathrooms were super clean and fire pit/grill were great. The only downside is that the campsites are very close to each other, the one we were at was about 30 ft from the next tent so you can hear everything.

Great site! Climbing opportunities at your site. Our family had a great time climbing and being socially distanced from other campers at this site. A gem!
