This campground is excellent. The spaces are spread out there are a few trails. We made a fire and sat under the stars. Highly recommended.

We camped for a couple of nights at Indian Cove in January. The campground was quiet and walkable. We could walk to some trails. Toilets were clean. I'd definitely go back.

We stayed in site 61 with our 25ft Airstream travel trailer. I don't think that any length of travel trailer could really get into this site facing the "correct" direction of traffic for the campground loop. It's the last site on the loop, so we came in the "wrong" way and had plenty of room, and then backed back down the road when we went to leave. It was pretty easy to navigate once we figured out how we could get into the site. The site is pretty unlevel side-to-side but the views were so incredible that we didn't mind. We just did our best with leveling ramps and then called it good. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Site 61 is a beautiful campsite with a large flat area for tents. There is no shade, so bring a canopy or have AC in your RV. There isnt a driveway, so you park parallel to the road. It was already hot, in the mid 80s in early April. This site seems to be in a wind tunnel in evening/night, so I had to take down my canopy when I wasnt using it for sun. Vault toilets smell terrible but theyre clean and well-stocked with toilet paper. Park rangers come by periodically. There are no neighbors on either side, just one across the road. Unfortunately those neighbors were quite loud all evening. I was thankful they werent right next to me.

61 is a great site offering plenty of privacy as it's set a bit apart from others, and adjacent to one of the many beautiful rock formations. Would love to use again in the future.

We stayed at the RV campsite and loved it next to the rocks, well located near the visitor center, the only thing missing was a place to connect a hose with fresh water and a dumpstation.

Campsite layout good , would have preferred a pull through , or have more room to park off the roadway ( had small square drop trailer , large stones prohibited moving it further into campsite). Overall campgrounds and vault toilets were well maintained,ie no trash , graffiti etc , ( the picnic table fire ring and bbq were in great useable shape Thank you ).enjoyed the space available between campsites . Very pleasant and peaceful. Friendly and helpful staff .

Our stay at Indian Cove Campground at Joshua Tree was very, very nice. There is good signage to locate the campground and the individual campsites. The campsites are grouped together in some areas and separated by the natural rock formations. We have a 25' RV and although the site was not paved, it was fairly level. The picnic table was substantial and level. Nice fire pit and grill. The vault toilets were well maintained and stocked well with TP. February is a wonderful time to visit. We will return for sure!

It has a beautiful location and amenities to the bare minimum. That's the beauty. I will return to venture further into other parts of the park.

This campground is NOT good for accommodating travel trailers. I have a 19' trailer and reserved a space that stated it would fit a 28' trailer. It was SOOOO tight that I actually did damage to my trailer because of ALL THE BOULDERS placed around the parking space. Besides that, it was a one direction road and the door to my trailer was to be on the road side and I could not open my awning. The campground is pretty with all the rock formations but really is favorable to tent camping or camper vans. I did read the camp site descriptions very carefully prior to reserving and specifically chose one that should have worked for my set-up. It did not and I left the next morning to camp elsewhere. Every single site at Indian Cove had a sign that said reserved but 75% of them were EMPTY. I don't believe that many people reserve sites and don't show up. There seems to be something wrong with the reservation system. There was not a single ranger or host to be found. I could not ask any questions or get any assistance from anyone. I wanted to move to a different site at Indian Cove that would fit better for me. I was not comfortable doing that because they all said reserved even though no one showed up. There was at least 60 empty sites that said reserved. Does not make sense why there are so many empty reserved sites. Would have been helpful if I could have had some assistance from a host or ranger at some point. I won't be going back there, but that is just because it is not suitable for my rig. It would be a nice place to camp in a tent.

This campground was so awesome! Each campsite is so different and it was nice that they are spaced out. We had lots of privacy from our neighbors. Vault toilets were clean and well maintained. The nature trail was beautiful and informative. We would definitely come back here!

What a great campground. We always enjoy our stays here. This time we got to experience 50 mph winds overnight which certainly increased our adventure factor. Indian Cove is a unique area offering special views no matter what spot youre in.

Interior roads in bad shape. No walk ins allowed so every night we had people around 5:00 asking us about the park because of all the vacancies and they were looking for a place to camp. No cell service so people could call to check on availability. I told them that I thought the 5th wheel camper up by the entrance station may have been a host. One person told me he had checked there but they told him they were off duty. It would have been nice if at the entrance station they had a direct phone line for reservations.

site 61 worked perfect fpr my 27 ft rv and toad. despite having to really work to level the rig. Nice and peaceful during the week, busier on the weekend. The rocks helped block the wind. and a great place to be closer to town. I did have some cell coverage t-moble w my booster, friend had verizon coverage, no at&t coverage.

We stayed in Campsite 61 and it was beautiful! Very large and comfortable. Our 26 foot Sprinter RV fit well parallel to the site . The roads are a bit rough coming in to the site but not horrible. The vault toilets are cleaner than most vaults but we didnt use them much anyway since we had the RV. I wish water were closer but you cant expect too much in the desert. Cant wait to come back!

I love Indian Cove. Its our second time camping there. Lovely campground, and almost all the sites are nestled among beautiful boulder fields ideal for scrambling and sunsets. Also very family and dog friendly with very limited car traffic and generally quiet fellow campers. Ive camped at Jumbo Rock and Ryan as well. The only drawback to Indian cove is that its not in the main part of the park and requires a decent drive to get there. However, its much quieter and more spacious than Jumbo Rock.
