Wonderful campground with amaizng views! Our spot (#79) was conveniently located next to the boulders, so we could do some fun rock scrambling, which the kids absolutely loved. While the tent space was situated closer to the car (meaning a bit less privacy), we really appreciated the picnic table positioned near the rocks. There was no shade in the morning, so it can get pretty sunny early on. Also, other 2 sites are close by, so we could really hear our neighbors (but hey were also quite loud in general).

Clean pit toilets. Small site but epic views thatll make you feel on another planet. Climbing routes within walking distance to all of the camp spots. Not ideal for your 10 person coleman tent, but perfect for a small 2 person backpacking tent.

This is the second time I've camped here and its a gem! Best campround near Joshua Tree and I've stayed at almost every campground in the park and outside the park. The only issue this time was that site 79 is extremely small, so you can only fit a 2 person tent. Its too bad as the site is back in the rocks and has amazing views, but then again all the sites at Indian Cove due. Still give this campground 5 stars.

Their confirmation system is top tier. We camp at the state beaches a lot and dont get any reminders about upcoming trips. Indian Cove sent a couple emails and called me the morning of. The woman answered all my questions and was so nice. Thank you for a great experience!

Was not prepared for how small the spaces are. Usually its good to be so close to the restrooms but not ones that don't flush. Smelled like poop all day.

There were people in a campsite that wasn’t theirs and told us we should move from our campsite that we reserved to a different one and got a little combative. The campsites are nice though but that left a sour taste in my mouth.

Great remote campground, perfect spot to do Boy Scout trail with a shuttle to the south end of the trail. Easy to explore the towns of 29 Palms and Joshua Tree.

this was my 2nd time at this block of sites inside the campground, and it is so nice! I love the rocks at Indian Cove, it makes for beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and night sky frames. I like that there is the Nature Trail inside the campground a short ways away from the set of sites. It can be a bit of a logistical challenge to stay at this campground if you are short on time for a trip inside the actual park, since it does not have direct road access, but if you use the North entrance it is much quicker than the line that often forms at the West entrance.

Really nice, clean campground. Our aite was nestled in the rocks, away from the two on either side and felt really private. Nice nature trail, clean pit toilet, and level ground to put the tent on. The skies were so beautiful at night! Really quiet, too. I’ll definitely be coming back here.

Great location especially if you like to climb rocks nearby. The day I went was extremely windy which made the experience as a whole less than desirable but it's not really the camp site's fault. If you're looking to do astrophotography, you should be very aware of what the surrounding terrain is at your camp site. Mine was surrounded by very large rock formations which blocked huge portions of the night sky, but Polaris was just visible in between the rocks. Your mileage will vary.
