The camping is very nice, shower and bathroom really clean, you can see animals around and they have shuttle to go different places at the park, I highly recommend this lace, I had a wonderful experience.

Wonderful site! We have truck and 23 trailer with a slide. 172 was quiet pull thru and a 3 site walk to the bathroom, would stay again.

We stayed at Aspen loop site # 29. We had tons of space! Walking distance to the shower/laundry/small store (ice, wood, etc.) as well as a close walk to the bus going east and west (two different stops). We even had an Elk on our campsite. There was a path close by that was great for running in the morning (would advise staying away from the canyon rim for a run as its way too crowded!).

Beautiful place to camp and enjoy the amenities the Park has to offer! Highly recommend this place! Two thumbs up for sure!

The campground was exactly as described. Not too close to other sites, a bit rocky, but a few clear spots to set up tents. The firepit, grate and table on site were in great condition and the park is easy to navigate and walk/drive to the canyon. The facilities for the campground could definitely use some work. One bathroom was left without soap in the women's restroom the entire weekend. Most of the showers were out of service when we tried to use them (In the women's shower there were only 2 in use, 3 out of service, 4 more had a sign up designating thy were "being cleaned"). Plenty of wildlife from elk to ravens. Friendly staff and overall just a great spot to camp near the canyon.

Do not book Pine Loop site 287! This site is very close to the bathrooms. At other campgrounds this isn't a dealbreaker for me, but at Mather Campground the bathrooms have LOUD flushing toilets, BRIGHT fluorescent lights, and LOUD hand driers that people will be using constantly until 11pm or later. pick any other site and it's a lovely campground.

Great stay. Good facilities, flat site, nice table. Only comment is people driving with lights on and our site was situated to catch all the lights at night coming in. Also, need a path from the road to the bathrooms People kept cutting through our site and shining flashlights in our tents. Maybe a briefing when folks check in? Otherwise great stay

The Mather campground is always clean and quiet. It is a convenient way to enjoy the Grand Canyon. There is a market nearby for food and incidentals that may be useful while car camping.

Mather camp ground is an excellent choice for camping at the Grand Canyon. We have stayed twice and car camped. The restrooms are very clean and plentiful. Showers are only available by the camp check in facility and cost $2.50 but still good. There is a grocery store just outside the camp entrance. Everything you need is there is you dont want to haul in a bunch of food and try to keep cool. The prices were not outrageous either. The camps are clean, mostly dirt not a lot of grass. Th elk wonder thru camp which is really cool. Will stay here again. The cost was very inexpensive and you need to make your reservation as soon as they become available. Rangers are very nice and helpful.

Very nice and quiet (crows aside!) campground located in the heart of the Grand Canyon. Conveniently located near the shuttle bus station and the visitor center and has showers. Bathrooms were clean and always had paper. I would love to come back for more days.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
