Went in winter time, such a beautiful place to stay. Staff were excellent super helpful. No washing up availability in winter. Paid hot showers available which is a true luxury

Campgrounds were very nice and restroom facilities/dish sink area was well maintained. I think the road configuration is a little confusing with all the one way loops, but other than that it was magical!

Mather was the noisiest campground I've ever been to. I know it's a major destination and people are excited to be there, but, the constant noise after ten pm really put me off. Cars constantly opening and closing, idling, and hi-jinks around campfires made it nearly impossible to sleep. Too bad, it is a beautiful spot.

Very nice and spacious sites. Clean restrooms. Could use a few more water spigots since we had to drive to another loop to fill up our water container a couple times.

No issues. We had a lot of snow. But also decided you camp in January. Showers and washrooms were clean. Good experience

Our time at this campground was absolutely incredible. We checked in late and it was very easy to figure out what to do after the office had called. The site was well kept and clean. In the morning when we woke up we were greeted by a family of elk. So surreal! The buildings with toilets are conveniently located within a short distance from nearly every site. And if you want to explore the canyon they have great great bus transportation that takes you all around. We only stayed 2 days but wished we had more time! You cant go wrong with this gem of a site. 10/10!

Very nice campground, beautiful setting with super clean bathrooms! It is walking distance the rim! Just make sure you notice the teeny print on the NPS service campground map stating drinking water spigots are available "Summer only." We brought plenty of water and there was drinking water at Campground services. However, it would be nice if the water availability situation was made more prominent. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Campground was very nice, and we enjoyed the trip a lot. The restrooms could use some remodelingtoilets were set too high, and the push on water was insufficient to properly wash hands. It would be nice if the campground sold wood. The stuff sold at the market was too green and lacked kindling, leading to many smokey fires around. But daily maintenance was great, the folks were super friendly, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Large campsite with plenty of distance between sites. Minimal amenities per NPS style: table, fire ring, tent pad. The bathrooms were clean and well located. A little far from the rim of GC but that helped to keep things quiet. Excellent cell service at site #314. I suspect cell service is good throughout the campground.

The website had a first come first serve policy showing for one of the days of our trip. We couldn’t find an easily accessible number to call. The campground was fully booked and we couldn’t tell online. We made arrangements day of but we couldn’t use the website at all that day either. We were told it was a just a glitch and that there is no first come first serve. Overall the campsite was very nice but booking online was a hassle.
