Best place to stay to explore the grand canyon. Campground is clean and quiet, no hookups. Just perfect for us in our 42 fr 5th wheel.

Camp host were very friendly and kept the pit style restrooms amazingly clean and odor-free. There was even a hint of air freshener or cleaner. Sites are reasonably spread out. Not far from the park entrance. Good dark skies and other campers kept their outside lights off except when they absolutely needed them (when people were outside).

We recently had a wonderful stay @ Tusayan - Montane campground Black Bear Loop ... just a few miles outside the Grand Canyon Nation Park. Our campground hosts Mike and Linda were awesome! The campground was quiet and the restrooms were very clean ... everything was well kept. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to future reservations @ Tusayan - Montane.

Pronghorn loop is new and super spacious! #15 is great. No yellowjackets/ flies & toilet was spotless with air freshener! Super quiet except the occasional helicopter or plane. No hookups or dump station & only 1-2 bars for AT&T. Feel price should be less for that. Clean firepit & table!

I can't say enough good stuff about this place. The hosts were amazing, the cleanest toilets I've ever seen at a group spot. The ramada was perfect, and came in clutch when the rain hit. The only bad thing I can say is if too many people know about it, it will be harder to book in the future.

Mike snd Linda were excellent hosts, the campground was beautiful and clean and an easy drive to town and the park gate. We stayed in the Black Bear Loop and would definitely go back. The sites were roomy and spaced well. Amenities included dumpsters, water, and pit toilets.

Very beautiful, clean and quiet location. Camp hosts are doing a good job and gracious with our questions. We didnt make it back on our trip home but will add this location to our next trip into the region. Great alternative to GCNP CGs.

Very clean, quiet, and friendly campground with great hosts. You're a 5-10 minute drive from the Grand Canyon's South Rim entrance, but you'll want to spend a day at camp with how active the wildlife gets in the early afternoon, after other campers have left for the day. Every site is slightly different with its own charm from the natural layout. After your first visit, you'll want to plan another stay in your favorite spot.

The Tusayan Campground is laid out effectively to provide bountiful space between campsites. Likewise, the facilities are well-maintained and clean. The camp hosts were especially friendly and helpful. Hence, the stay was quite enjoyable.

Tusayan Montane is a great camping ground. We liked it so much this was our second visit. The only damper on our experience was we couldnt have a campfire. We survived even though we had a bunch of rain on and off.

Great host! There werent many visitors while we were there so it was pretty private. Bathroom were clean with almost no odor. We had the perfect lot for viewing Elk everyday as they grazed the area.

Really awesome place. Huge sites, great price for both disabled vets and non vets, and great staff. Would recommend this place over others.

Tusayan Campground was an excellent experience. The campsites felt private, with plenty of space between neighbors and a peaceful setting. One thing I really appreciated was the good shade provided by the trees throughout the campground it made a big difference during the warmer parts of the day.The restrooms were also impressively clean and well-maintained. The only downside is that theres no showers.

We stayed at sites S11 and S12. It was a clean and quiet place. At dawn, the Milky Way looked amazing here. The water spigot is about a 510 minute walk from here.

BEAUTIFUL CAMPGROUND

This campground is one of the most beautiful in Arizona. The trees are plentiful and all sites are very roomy. The sites are spaced quite far apart so you have the privacy you would like. We loved the proximity to the Grand Canyon without being in the middle of the crowds.

Nice campground with good space between sites. The original campsites have good shade on average while the new sites don't have very much shade. We were in Raven loop and had good shade. The campground was almost empty which is extremely unusual during the summer. Even Mather in the Grand Canyon S Rim area looked almost empty. Lots of choices now. Montaine/Ten-x is less expensive, but Mather is in the park, you appear to have your choice now. We hiked a set of forest roads from Montain 3.5 miles into Tusayan. That trail is not a well marked trail but we were never that far from the road. So 7 miles round trip. We stay in Montain/Tenx almost every summer, it is well maintained and clean and has camp hosts.

Best of everything! Great restrooms and wide open campsites. Camp host are simply awesome. This has to be one of my favorite locations even close to town.

bathrooms were smelly. They weren't emptied with the 9 days we were there. Water was only available at the entrance.

The campground is beautiful with very spacious sites. Close proximity to Tusayan and the Grand Canyon.

The campground was very nice, clean restrooms,and very quiet. The sites are spaced pretty well, and there are trees, so some shade (although it was obvious that a lot of trees had been cleared.) It was extremely surprising to be there in June and have the campground almost vacant. I don't understand a National Park like the Grand Canyon being so low in attendance. But it made for a quiet, albeit very HOT week there. The location is very convenient and very easy to find. I highly recommend the bike trail from the roundabout in Tusayan into the Grand Canyon. It is outstanding -- paved, with an elevation gain of about 500 feet over the 7+ miles.

One of the best stops on our 12 stop trip. Really enjoyed the National Forest. Not crowded, very well managed and kept.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
