We loved Mather Campground. The sites are beautiful with lots of space. The bathrooms are warm! We loved biking all the green trails and hiking the Rim Trail with our dog. The Marketplace has everything you need. The National Park staff is friendly and helpful. Showers and laundry facilities are very nice. And of course there is the Grand Canyon close to visit everyday. We got to see the campground and the canyon on warm sunny days and covered with a blanket of snow. One of the best park experiences ever!

Campgrounds were clean, the views of the Grand Canyon were spectacular. Weather was great. Only negative were the number of people disregarding posted signage requiring masks at viewpoints.

Good facilities for campers although we were self-contained in our travel trailer. Our campsite paved surface was only just wide enough and the edges were breaking up but that did not detract from our enjoyment. Study the individual site details before you book.

Mather Campground is ideal for your camping experience at the Grand Canyon. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every minute, Elk walking through camp, deer strolling through it was wonderful. Camp site are large and lots of space3 between campers.

Excellent location, and was very close to all of the hikes and Mather Point. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The showers did the job and were a nice treat after hiking, just wish they were open later (but understand that it’s tough to do). I highly recommend Bright Angel trail for hiking, but get an early start! We also enjoyed Kaibab trail and Rim trail at sunset. Would love to come back and do rim-to-rim someday.

There are miles and miles of well maintained asphalt trails that have plenty of curves and gentle ups and downs all of which provide ample opportunity for those who want to do some cycling and running while visiting the Grand Canyon. Mather Campground is well maintained and peaceful.

Great place to stay for Grand Canyon visit. Some closures due to Covid (showers, laundry, some shuttle bus routes) but still quiet and clean bathrooms.

There were no bad sites! My husband and I stayed for 7 days and walked through the campground looking at the different loops. Aside from one area that is too close to the road, all the camp sites are great. We had a wonderful, peaceful time, bathrooms are spotless, we didn't feel too close to the other campers and it is really close to the Visitors Center and Market area. There is nothing like staying inside the park anyway.
