I love the campgrounds but was disappointed the showers were closed after hiking the canyon.

Campsite 293 Pine Loop was perfect for tent camping. Easy spot for backing in my car, a nice flat spot to pitch the tent, and quiet neighbors. Not too close to the restroom, with its noisy hand dryer. Midway thru my visit I used the showers and laundry machines at campground services. Super convenient, but you have to rush to take a shower in 5 minutes! For visitors with electric cars, the level 2 EV chargers at nearby Market Plaza are free. For hikers, it is very convenient to park at Lot D on Backcountry Rd, which is a 5-minute walk to the Bright Angel trailhead. After the hike you can get food and soft drinks at the Maswik lodge food court -- or pizza and beer at the Maswik pizza pub.

Super nice camping spot. Bring something to fix your tent pegs, as the ground is super rocky. Please take a walk from the campground to the rim, the view is incredible

Campsite has good amount of space, privacy and is level. Shortcut to the shuttle stop right in your backyard. Light noise from generators in adjacent loop is audible. Bathrooms were clean, showers available for $2.50. Good service with T-Mobile.

On avait un emplacement en bout de boucle donc parfait car nous tions plus tranquilles. Des biches passaient rgulirement. Seul dfauts nous entendions le bruit de la route et les toilettes auraient pu tre plus propres.

Very easy to find. Good instructions. Showers and camping facilities nice. Full grocery store very nearby which made it effortless. Amazing proximity to the canyon rim. No need to drive in the park.

Every campground in the US has different nuanced rules, and Mather is no exception, I read through all the rules before arrival, and yet a camp ranger hit me up with a warning that wasn't covered in the rules, but in a secondary sheet of campsite rules. So I just wish that was more readily available on recreation.gov.

Campground is in well kept shape. Be aware that campsites are stacked very close to each other so there is little to no privacy. Mens camp showers are pretty run down but get the job done. Very convenient location to go in and out of the tourist areas of the Grand Canyon.

Loud drunk people. Need night park ranger contacts.

This is our second time camping at Mather’s and both times were excellent. The campgrounds and bathrooms were extremely clean. The best part was waking up to these huge Elk (I think) right outside our tent, the area was very peaceful and tranquil.

The site was clean and there were two bathrooms close to the site. The bathrooms were clean and and well stocked. The sites were a little close together but otherwise it was a great experience. Wood for the campground is available at the Grand Canyon General Store. The trail along the Mather Campground Rd was very helpful in accessing the General Store and Yavapai tavern.

Beautiful campground with lots of land around us. We traveled with two children and they had a blast (who am I kidding, so did we) exploring the area around us and identifying deer footprints/poop and the many trees. Be sure to grab a guide at the Grand Canyon visitor center, it identified the many plants and shrubs around us. Speaking of - the visitor center was about 3-5 minutes away, so super close. We went to the south rim daily to check out the views. I can seriously keep talking about how great this campground was but Ill keep it short and sweet. Checking in was super easy. The restrooms were meticulous and the water spigot was available whenever we needed it. Millions of stars to view at night, cant go wrong :) Just come!

The Rangers and staff were great. Despite unprecedented cold and snow everything worked great.

Didn't get to enjoy the stay as I wanted do to a snow storm, even though, the beauty of the place compensates everything.
