Every thing was great. And it was probably about my 50th time to camp in the Grand Canyon.

Very good camping with showers. Large space. Around there's all you can need. Highly recommend!

Great place to visit.

The campground and our site were excellent.
The rest of the park, however, was a major disappointment.
NPS a staffing was very low:
the main Visitor’s Center closed at noon;
the restrooms were trashed at mid-day;
the theater was closed for at least two days due to equipment breakage.
I hope NPS management provides a solution to its manpower problem and not just another study or report.
Are they still blaming Zenke?
Mesa Verde on the other hand was packed and functioning.
Truly a sad experience and a not very good experience for the many foreign visitors to the Canyon.

The people working there must hate their jobs because it showed in the customer service and attitude

Loved the layout size of the sites. Also, greatly appreciated the ADA sites being marked clearly on the online map.

We stayed one night in the Aspen Loop #16. Pull-through level campsite for small motorhomes or trailers - we stayed in a campervan. No electric or water hookups but a clean picnic table, fire pit, potable water from a pump, flush toilets and sinks in a comfort station. No hook-ups.
Friendly campers & staff, so convenient to the sights in the park. Developed walking trails, handicapped accessible trails and bike paths. Free shuttle to many areas in the park. Restaurants, general store, welcome centers, special GC movie (for an extra charge).

Beware the ravens. They will invade your campsite, root through your belongings and steal any food that they find. Also, elk freely roam throughout the park. Admire them from afar.
Take the free shuttle to avoid having to park.
If you can leave or enter the park via Rt.64 East/West instead of Rt 64 South/North, do so. There are many awesome canyon views from that road.

We love staying at Mather! The location was wonderful, the bathrooms were clean and we loved waking up to see bunnies and elk around the campground! We would definitely stay here again!

Spacious sites, clear rules, clean bathrooms what more does one need?

Great location! Loved the trails accessible from the campground. Brought bikes with an RV and had no need for a smaller car.
