This is definitely more of a tent camping location, but I did have a good experience with my RV in two different sites in the main campground. Would be good if they had more sites with covered areas, rather than just a handful. Also would've appreciated being able to add a little water to my RV tank, but that's not a huge deal, as I could get drinking water fills at the spigots. All in all, it's a nice little campground for having a place to stay near Red Rocks. If not visiting the park, I'd recommend other locations for camping as the cost is a little high with the reservation fee. PLEASE NOTE: The campground reservation CANNOT be used for park entry. Get an interagency pass, reserve your time slot for Red Rocks, and pay the $2 (everyone pays no matter what) to get in.

Great campground. Very clean, with low strategically placed lighting and well laid out. The ramadas are a plus. A superb location especially for climbing at Red Rocks. The camp host on duty was on the job making sure things were in order. We will definitely be back!

close to town, quiet and pristine. A literal paradise being this close to sin city.

We bucycled the red rock canyon loop. Nice wide road. The visitor center and some of those had air and tools if needed for bikes. Most cars gave wide birth around us. A bit windy but fun. We also camped at red rock canyon campground. Well taken care of. Clean. Quiet. All sites we saw had leveled sand tent pads and some had steel covers over picnic bench. Water available at pit toilet areas.

Beautiful spot but inadequate facilities for the size of the area. Needs to be bigger and better serviced considering the amount of natural attractions in the area.

very level spots, clean bathrooms, and close to the park

Love this campground for many reasons (convenience to hiking and vegas amenities, nice sites with shade structures, beautiful/spacious views, helpful hosts, safe vibe). What I really didn't enjoy (and is new to me after coming here for a number of years is the nearby gun range. I don't have any issue with gun ranges, but when you make effort to be in a natural environment and for many hours each day the silence of nature is pierced by *gunfire* it is jarring to say the least. I dealt with it ok and it wouldn't keep me from going back, but would keep from a multi-day stay.

The scenery is average. Facilities are not available. It is very inconvenient for the water source to be far away from the campsite.

The host at the campground was one of the worst human beings I have ever met. Complete asshol

Amazing campsite. Views all around are just spectacular. Quiet and friendly campers. Camp host was mostly off duty. We never checked in and the host never came by to check us. But that was just fine by us. Vault toilet was clean with plenty of TP and even with a hand sanitizer.

I used to enjoy coming here as a climber, but for the past 10y it's been going steadily downhill. It is no longer a place of Quiet Enjoyment. People turn up with large RVs and very loud generators which they seem happy to run all day long. And it's much more expensive too with online booking charges added. For a primitive campground with no showers and pit toilets $10 was about right 10y ago. It's now $33. And half the bathroom facilities aren't open either. Thanks but I think I'll drive 30 miles up to Lovell Canyon instead.

Would come back again for a stop over site. The sites are well laid out with a nice sheltered picnic table, site #07 is close to the public pit toilets and drinking water access. There is no dump site, or water tank filling allowed for RVs, or electric power (Generator is ok), stay is limited to off-grid conditions. No problem backing in a 27 FT travel trailer and keeping the tow vehicle attached.

Beautiful location!
@Elizabeth29438 · Camped on Sep 27, 2025 at Campsite #13
Make sure you get a site with covered picnic tables (along with a tarp to hang for sun). That really made the stay enjoyable. Also know that the water sources are wrong on the online map. They are by the bathrooms

Nice and convenient place to camp near Las Vegas. Camp site location was a little confusing, not being accessed from main entrance, but confusion was cleared up by staff at entrance.

Excellent facility, very well maintained.
@DeannaW7345807 · Camped on Sep 21, 2025 at Campsite #12
The campground is obviously well taken care of however it does need a camp host present to help with same day reservation's/arrivals. Attempting to navigate the online system and use the onsite deposit envelopes leaves a window open for mistakes/misunderstandings that a camp host could either prevent or resolve quickly. Nice facilities overall. Restrooms are clean. Showers need some work with fixture maintenance and repair.

The campground was fine. The required reservation system needs some work. I needed to book one night. Ended up with two nights reserved and no way to correct it. May have been a problem of my own making but no way to correct it doesnt sit well with me.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
