Fantastic location, amazing hikes, and dedicated park rangers. We had a wonderful experience!

Toilets were unclean: yellow spots on the seat and a yellow sticky mess if you flipped up the seat. Haven't been cleaned during our stay and seemingly also for a while before that.If not for the facilities, lovely campground. Beautiful view, nicely spaced out sites, the shelters are really great to have during the day.

Clean, quiet and well-spaced sites. Not many campers during our stay -- all were respectful and observed quiet hours.Nice level spot for our trailer, but also thought the special tent areas looked nice, level with built-in tie-downs. The weather wasn't too hot yet in mid-May, but I'd definitely recommend getting a site with a shade structure, or bring your own. Plenty of sun to recharge via solar. There were a surprising number of vault toilets evenly spaced throughout. Cell service was spotty, trying to make a reservation at Recreation.gov while on-site (same day reservation) required standing in the middle of the road or driving back towards town. LOVED hiking in the park, first stop on the scenic drive - after 5pm a reservation wasn't needed, so can't comment on that process.

Excellent Spot, Amazing View! Restroom could be a little more cleaner. Other than that we had an Amazing time with the family.

The area was very nice, clean, and safe. The patio sites were particularly great. Our only complaintpeople drive too quickly.

Our first overnight campout with our vintage VW bus. Very clean & relaxing camp site. Quiet at night. We had water, shade, campfire, decent bathrooms. Pleasant experience for our family. We will be back !

This campground has well-appointed sites and clean restrooms. We biked the 13-mile Scenic Drive, and it was a beautiful way to experience the canyon. The Visitor Center is terrific!

The campground is quiet and beautiful with adequate sites for a small 18 foot long trailer and truck. The only problem was someone was illegally camping in our spot when we arrived and they were gone from the campground. There was no campground host available at 4pm on a Friday. We tried to call the emergency number on the office door, but we got continuous phone trees and no one answered. I finally called the non emergency number for the police and they located the Ranger. The Ranger came and said he would call the people who were squatting on our property by looking up their number on the license plate of the car parked there in our space. All of this hubbub took about 4 hours to resolve. We were exhausted from an 8 hour drive from our previous location. When the folks finally returned with the sheriff it was 10 at night. There had been a reserved sign on the post with my initials in plain sight but the squatters claimed that they thought the site was open for another night. The sheriff or Ranger said that they were responsible climbers and he was not going to ticket them. We never received an apology from them. My biggest complaint is that there was no camp host and we had to deal with a lot of anxiety until late at night as to when we could settle into our site. We are older seniors and we were extremely tired. This experience really made our experience there less appealing.

Nice, pretty quiet campground and the closest to Red Rock Park. A sun shelter is a must and even then the couple of hours before sunset and after sunrise (when the shelter doesnt help) can feel hot on warmer days. Also, there is no escaping the wind when it blows (which is pretty often).One thing that took us by surprise was that for the first three days there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms pretty lame. The first time thats ever happened to me but still lame.

Bring TP because they were frequently out.

The bathroom for our group site was low on toilet paper and we ended up providing some of our own. The campground host never checked up on us or made any contact with us. Other than that we enjoyed our time at the campground and in the park.

Site RV2-no electricity, no water, no dump, no shade. Not suitable if it is getting warmer.Site is in a circle with 6 RV sites in the middle of the desert, which does not give any privacy. However nice view from the back of the RV and beautiful sun rise.Very easy for the first few days after arriving in Las Vegas from Europe, because it is close to do shoppings. Albertsons is only 10 mins away.

Where do i start. We have a 35ft 5th we made our reservations in January and we were put in a site on the side of the road. The road was so unlevel we were unable to get our auto leveler to level the unit. It was like living in a fun house...but not fun. We had to walk up an incline to get to the firepit and table. It was 6PM so we decided to do the scenic route came back went to bed (had to reverse the covers so our heads weren't heading down). Got up at 5:30 AM ....didn't stay the second night and left. Worse experience. We even went to the office but apparently the campground was full.

The camp hosts left at the start of the Easter week. The restrooms were not cleaned. Even when the camp hosts were on site, there was never more than one roll of TP in the restroom at any time. Restrooms ran out of TP every single day. The rules for getting a refund for early departures, one night reservations, and "two night weekends" were pretty ridiculous.

No toilet paper or hand sanitizer in bathroomsHelpful camp hosts but limited availabilityNoticeably fewer staff than previous visits

Not the same experience without the campground hosts. No toilet paper in any bathrooms and watching people bathe and do dishes in the water refill stations was nasty. Dennis and Barb did a great job making sure the campground was clean and that kind of behavior did not happen. For a campground that is busy as this one, the hosts are a necessity.

The sites are large and there is space between each site. You dont feel like you are on top of each other.
@PollyD3341428 · Camped on Apr 4, 2025 at Campsite #25
They were not stocking the bathrooms appropriately with toilet paper for a busy weekend. We actually ran out of TP and needed to bring our own. Thats never happened to me before.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
