Set your expectations, Red Rock is primarily targeted towards climbers and hikers who tent and b-van camp. Water faucets with nearby clean pit toilets available. No cell, our Starlink worked well. All sites are boondocking- no water/ E, and no dump onsite at all. If you're in a van or RV arrive with empty grey/black tanks and lots of fresh water. Site 24 has some slope requiring leveling. Incredibly close to Sumerlin for restuarants and shops. Beautiful at night and close to hikes. We've never formerly checked-in, host is usually driving campground to provide service and ensure sites are clean, they are. Signage direction within campground is poor/confusing- so be prepared to drive around like an idiot when you arrive, especially at night. We RV camp here with success and right expectations. Some reviews bemoaned lack of same day cancellation, most state and federal campgrounds don't allow it sadly.

It's the desert. It's hard to have any privacy when there are no trees to hide you from fellow campers. However, the sites were spread out far enough that you were not right on top of other people. Conditions at the sites were great. We had a site with a shade tent and that was helpful. The bathrooms were well maintained and ample. Roads were easy to get around on. The firepits were in good shape and our site had some seating around the pit. Easy access to conservation area and close to food, gas, etc.

We had a great time. The restrooms were super clean and we really enjoyed our stay. The camp hosts were also very friendly. Make sure you check in on your first day to get your parking pass.

The campground is really nice and they keep it up well. Many sites have pavilions, but don't camp there when the temps are above 95, unless your AC works well.
Also, if forest fire warning is elevated, no fires of any kind are allowed.

This campground was excellent. The sites were well-kept and nicely distanced apart. The bathrooms were clean. And guests were generally very quiet and respectful.

Too expensive $28 with fees for no shower and no flushing toilet. Just a hole with toilet seat. Will not go back. Plenty of better options out there.

We love the location of this campground. The restroom, although just a vault toilet, is the cleanest one I’ve ever been to. I would give the campground five stars if it had electricity. Wi-fi would be nice too. All in all, though, it is a very good campground.
