Camp Hosts were very strict and made the check-in process much more complicated than necessary. Nice simple place to rest while traveling.

The Red Rock Canyon Campground is extensive and well managed. It was easy to check in with the host and get to my campsite. The facilities, including the toilets and potable water were abundant and well maintained. Each tent site has a place for a large vehicle, a big tend bed, a shelter, a fire pit and a grill. A wonderful place to escape the non-stop technology overload of Vegas and spend a night or more under the stars, the actual stars, not a blinking LED installation that never turns off.

We mostly camp in the wild, either out bike packing or traveling with our truck camper. We choose places off the beaten track, where there are few-to-no other people. In Las Vegas, there's only this one campground near Red Rock Canyon and town (except for actual RV campgrounds). It's fine, as far as campgrounds go. It gets crowded, with people pulling in at all hours, which means headlights into the late night. There's generator noise, people talking loudly, dogs barking, i.e., all the factors we do our best to avoid. The host is nice, there are bathrooms, and there's running water--all nice, but we never feel a need for these. Overall it's a fine experience. For an urban campground.

Red Rock Canyon Campground is an amazing place to stay, not only because of the great campground, but also because of the people who work there. The hosts are not only proficient in running the campground, but they also take the time to answer questions and accommodate the guests. The campground is very clean.

Dennis and Barb always run a very clean organized campground. Been staying here every year for 4 years and never fails to amaze me. The cleanliness of the bathrooms is top notch as well as the cleanliness of the campground. Not a single piece of trash in sight.

The campground was clean and comfortable. The surrounding area is stunning. We definitely recommend the drive through Red Rock National Conservation Area. Hard to believe it is so close to Vegas.

There continues to be tresspassers occupying our campground. We returned to our site #7 last night, after watching the stars, only to find two different groups of tresspassers concurrently occupying our reserved campground. There were no rangers or hosts available to enforce park rules that were being violated at the time. The violaters were using our campground ammenities and burnning a fire at out site. They made themselves completely comfortable and had ste up multiple tents and and a camper. Thet also invited other tresspassers to the site for an overnight stay. Tresspassers attempted to coerce us that it was their site, but failed after I showed them by check-in tag and they did not have a check in tag. There apparently were no patrols to ensure violators and tresspassers are not occupying reserved sites that were paid for by actual customers. We felt our safety was compromised as the intruders could have returned anytime in the duration of our stay. There was no service to call 911 and no assistance was available to ensure customer safety and ensure reservations are not compromised.

High winds nearly destroyed tent. It needs a fence or wind break around tent sites. Location was good.

The campground has spacious sites, attentive hosts and is very close to Red Rock NRA.
It isn’t too far from stores, restaurants, shopping, etc.

Easy to find, stunning sunset over the mountains driving west out of Las Vegas, simple check-in process, no trees to speak of but metal shade structures at almost every site over the picnic tables. I was only here one night in a tent (no ground tarp or rainfly needed in late May) and the RVs started leaving before 5am...when the sun rose a half hour later, I understood why. It gets hot fast! Not a campground for sleeping in, but I would definitely come here again. It's much more pleasant than staying in a casino or motel, which were my other options for visiting extended family...
