Recreation.gov is a rip off. So many empty, unused spaces. They just rake in the fees and prevent people from using the lands provided by their taxes.

If you're tenting you'll find the perpetual wind makes cooking difficult. It's an odd location in a large depression.

camping spots are primality for tent campers and definitely not a travel trailer! They have locations for RV's but good luck in getting one. The wind really blows in this park and the cell service is HORRIBLE. We would never stay at this camp ground again!

Kudos to the camp hosts: this campground has the cleanest toilets I have EVER seen in any NPS/Forest Service/BLM campground. THANKS, we appreciate it. Nice campground with good separation between campsites. My only complaint was that our site was pretty sloped and hard to get our camper leveled and hard to pull it back out of the site uphill and on gravel (site #49, I believe.) We later moved to a different site lower down in the campground that was a lot more level. Would stay again.

As we have been camping there frequently, we think ALL campsites should provide shade structures.

Super awesome camp hosts, they were so sweet and helpful! They went above and beyond what we expected!

Would have been much better if it wasn't cold and snowy.

We made last minute reservation after Valley of Fire was full, wish they took reservations. The camp ground was nicely maintained, spaces far apart and private. The site we were assigned was not good for a 35' toy hauler. Not level at all! People across from us had a site for a van but could not park at the spot! I think the reservation site assignments needs some fixing. Overall it looked like there were a lot of activities, rock climbing bike riding and hiking trails. We stayed just for one night.

1st off I chose spot which specifically states RV up to 35 feet. When Ingot there the host (very nice ) stated the sites are not level and I would need some blocking for my motorhome. Since we boondock a lot I have a lot of it. Got to the site and backed in. I put 12 inches under my rear tires and levelers. I was even close to level. My bubble level was still pinned at needing another 10 inches. The front of my motorhome was almost bottomed out. NO way should I this even be a RV location. None of the sites were in that row should be. Forget cell service, no matter what any review says. Full timers that work from the motorhome using a weboost could not get a signal. Found one bar in 2 locations but it would not hold. Host confirmed NO cell service for any carrier. Ended up having to leave because there were no other sites available. Beautiful location, stay out of the back /top row if with a trailer, do not even think about cell service.

One of the best outdoors experiences. Middle of night around 3am stars are so bright. So many hiking areas and mountain biking.
