Campsite is clean and spacious; bathrooms clean. Showers were quarter fed, but not bad. I've made a point out of visiting every National Park I can- this one was not a wasted trip. A short walk to the visitor center and main cave entrance made it so convenient, probably more so than any other NP I've ever been to. Not much available on way in for firewood, and, if you arrive after hours there is none to find. Minor inconvenience, available in the camp store. I think this may have been one of my better visits due to the convenience of everything. Park and enjoy!

We had a great time at the campground. We were in the Group spots, which I recommend. Be aware that the only showers are at the nearby campstore, and you have to pay for them with quarters. The wood for purchase was a little pricey, but it was seasoned and lit very easily. There was plenty of small sticks and kindling to gather in the woods nearby, though it might be difficult if it was wet.

Mammoth Cave campgrounds are always delightful. A bit close to your neighbors, with RVs and tents in close proximity, but no more than most national parks really. Every time we've been we've seen deer walking through the campgrounds (and turkey more than half the time too). Clean facilities, the little store is nice, open until 7 when we went, and always has some firewood and a bite to eat. The fact that Mammoth has become a Dark Skies site in the last decade has really made the site great for stargazing. And of course the cave and the local tourist community is tons of fun.

Great campsite. State at this campsite for two days. Had a great time.We stayed at number B20. Only little bit of Verizon cell service was available. At B24 you can get a little bit of T-Mobile reception.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. The sites were roomy and easy for big groups. We loved being walking distance to the visitor center (maybe a 10min walk?). It made catching the buses for tours a breeze and you are an easy walk to Mammoth Cave. Every tour was unique. More than I realized they would be. I really loved the lantern tours. The showers are coin operated if that is something you may have missed. Bathrooms were easy to get to. I also really loved the walking trails around the campground. Lots of options!

Great campground. There were some noisy neighbors on the weekend. The bathrooms were mostly clean. I loved that we could ride our bikes to the visitor center and that there was a star bucks to get coffee before our cave excursion.

I enjoyed my time at the campground in Mammoth Cave National Park. It is close to and within walking distance to the Visitors Center, the Historical Cave Entrance and a lot of the hikes near the visitors center. There is a camp store and two pay showers with hot water. The lodge has a coffee shop and several choices of restaurants.

This was my first time visiting Mammoth Cave, and the campground was FABULOUS! My site (105D) was a perfect location balance for meeting neighbors and seeing nature-- no neighboring campsite on one side, and the back was the forest. My site was level and it was clean when I arrived, and the cement tables and fire pit were in great condition! The parking pad is a perfect size for two SUVs if you need more than one car. The sites in my loop were also a good distance away from each other-- not super close neighbors but close enough if you want to meet each other.The campground itself was a great blend of solo and couple campers and young families-- it wasn't overrun by any one type of camper. Everyone followed the quiet hour rules, and the bathroom facilities were kept clean- they were cleaned every day around lunchtime. The shower house is a bit of a walk if you're in the back of the campground but is still plenty walkable, I never needed to wait on an open shower, and they were very clean (I'd still bring shower shoes though). While I visited, I saw deer, turkey, and rare woodpeckers within the campground. There also wasn't an overwhelming swarm of bugs despite visiting in August. The campground is also within walking distance to the national park visitor center (where the cave tours start/end), the lodge and restaurants, and many hiking trails. Two things to note though-- don't expect cell service at the campground, and bring your lantern/flashlight with you if you go to a bath house after sundown-- it's quite dark at night unless there are many visitors with fires going, and the only sidewalks lit are the ones right outside the bath houses.Overall, I highly recommend a visit if you want to be close to nature-- town was about a 20 minute drive and there was minimal cell service (though you had free wifi at the visitor center). This was exactly the type of trip I was looking for though, so I will certainly be returning!!

Check-in was the easiest thing, and the camp store was very pleasant in items and people running it.

Clean and easy to access. Campground is beautiful and right next to plenty of bathrooms and the camp store.

This was our second time and we always enjoy the setting. This year the neighboring campers were loud and for a few days we had to deal with a camper that had the loudest generator. I never saw them sitting outside so not really sure why they want to camp.

It was a very nice campground. The showers were ok could use a little upgrade. The sites were nice and well-maintained. Would love to have water and electricity at every site since it get so hot. We were in a tent but could have used a fan to sleep with and during the day. People were hanging out in the bathroom for the ac

What a wonderful campground! Very close to the bathrooms, which were extremely clean (and air conditioned, so nice in the heat!). Water easy to get for camp. Used campstore to purchase ice. A doe came thru our campsite, much to the delight of my kid!

We camped one night, and had to find a hotel the second night. There were a lot of dead tree limbs above our campground, and due to the heavy rain, one massive limb fell about 10 ft. from where our tent was set up. They offered for us to move to a different site, but we had already packed up to leave. The campground was well equipped, the bathrooms were very clean as well as the showers and laundry area.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
