Great place to stay within the park, close to the visitor center and where the tours depart from. Good mix of RV and tent campers and full every day we were there. Restrooms were clean, running water and flush toilets. Very quiet campground at night, we went to bed early and never heard other campers. Sites are large and not crowded. Our site was a quick walk away from the restroom and didnt seemed bothered by foot traffic or smells.

It was quiet, shaded with a bathroom nearby. There are paid showers and supplies at the camp store. It was unfortunate that all the tours were booked up that we could do so sign up and plan ahead for those.

We loved our time at this campground!! Loop C site 69 was perfect and close to the restrooms. All the sites were amazing though! Everything was spread out and quiet. Fall leaves were so beautiful. Camp store had lots of necessary things along with an awesome welcome center at the caves. We didnt know where the shower was, but we didnt need it since we only stayed one night. Awesome time. Highly recommend.

Nice campground though I don't understand why the tent only loop is the one closest to the entry road - this should be set aside for hardshell RV or trailers as they can deflect the noise better than soft sided tents! It seems to me that many recreation.gov sites provide ideal sites to RVs and trailers and punish tent campers with the less desirable sites! The campground map could be improved with restrooms and waters noted on them so that one is aware of exactly where they are pitching camp when picking a site. Loads of poison ivy in the campground, there should be signs to warn folks of it!

We made the best of it. Food places were closed and offered only minimal concession food. Took some off trail hikes that were much prettier than views from established walking path. $50 and advanced reservations for a cave tour that was less impressive than the 5 or so local caves I had been to prior. $50 at Lost River Cave was much more exciting. Horseback riding in the park was a nice option. Bird watching tour was informational. Wish spelunking tours were available. Glad the cabins were all booked, they could use updating. Sleep Inn in Bowling Green was a much nicer/better value. Gift shops were nice.

Despite limited camp sites, my campground site was convenient and clean. The self-guided Cave tour was worth it. Hiking trails near the visitos center provided excellent local though limited hikinggreat Green River scenic views. Only inconvenience was the closing of Green River Ferry. I braved the 50 minute detour and found Maple springs Campground lot and picked up the Buffalo Trail and hiked out to the Bluffs Campsite for lunch, great views, and the best spring waterfall/water source anywhere. Been camping there periodically for 30+ years. Great day hikeabout 7 miles round trip.

Ive been traveling across the United States. That is the best, well-maintained, nicest, campground I have ever been to. I wish there were more campgrounds like that!
