We had an incredible visit to Mammoth Cave and the campground! In addition to the fascinating cave tour, the camp had nice little details, like small signs indicating which caves and chambers were below us. We wrote all about our stay during our cross-country trip here: https://toebox.substack.com/p/day-three-dripstones-and-raccoonsThe showers, laundry, and camp store -- complete with wondeful staff full of useful information (and a solid wifi connection) also made the stay comfortable and restful--which was just what we needed. Enjoy this very special place!

My husband, son and I were very happy with this campground. We stayed in site number 3. When we got there, it was raining and it was flooded in the corner of the site but eventually drained. There are flushable toilets and portable water. The store was very close, but they dont carry much. If you plan on cooking youre better off bringing what you need. The visitor center and lodge were about 8 minutes walking. The campground was very peaceful and we got to see deer, wild turkeys, and different types of birds. Our overall experience was great, just look out for ticks.

Nice campground, conveniently located. The lodge restaurant was delicious. All the shops were great. The Mammoth Cave system is spectacular to see. Very unique. Tour guides were great!

Beautiful campground, one of the best I've experienced. Ranger Christine at the entrance was so helpful and welcoming. Loved it.

The campsite was the perfect size for 3 people and close to the bathrooms and the campstore.

A really well maintained campground. Much cheaper than surrounding commercial campgrounds. The sites are very spacious and there are hiking trails everywhere. There are big fields with deer running around a short walk away. The tent sites offer a huge flat well drained pad, but the ground is very hard so freestanding tents are fine but putting in pegs is iffy. The showers are good and are pay so bring $5 in quarters. The general store is well stocked but closes at 5pm, and the nearest stores open late are out near the interstate.

Wonderful campsite. Quiet, plenty of nature, well maintained. Bathrooms and showers (attached to the camp store) were very nice. Ranger came by to invite me to a lecture that evening. Definitely will stay here again.
