We had a great stay. The campground is on a river and right near the horse facility which seems to run tours on the half hour. The sites were level and clean and pretty far apart. Thanks to Brian for helping us with our generator!We enjoyed our stay

Campground and restrooms are well maintained. Peaceful, yet close to towns such as Cherokee and Gatlinburg.

I stay here each year in late May or early June. It's a great spot to fish many of the local trout streams and it's close enough to town so you can run in for additional provisions or a hot meal as needed. The bathrooms were recently updated with new toilets and exhaust fans. The staff at the campground has always been very friendly. It would be great if the Park Service would install showers like they have at the Davidson River campground in Brevard.

Facilities clean and in good shape. Spacious campsites. Flat.

Our favorite place! Love playing in the creek, watching elk roam through the park, and the natural sound machine of the water at night. The only negative is that the electrical plugs in all the restrooms have been removed. That was a downgrade in my option.

Nice campground and the smokies are amazing, but there were a few things that were unpleasant: 1. The sites are very close together 2. The bathrooms have NO HANDSOAP3. For $30/night, a shower would be nice

We were able to pick a spot where we weren't terribly close to other campers, and we felt like we had a place of our own. We were able to camp when the fireflies were out, and they looked amazing. The camp host was nice as well! We would definitely camp here again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay during the Memorial Day Weekend, I just wished the weather was less wet.The staff was very helpful, the firewood sales was priced well, and did I mention the peace and quiet?

Amazing campground, good community, and nice sounds from the creek.

There should be a section away from all other campers for people who are going to run their generators all day long, weWe were in F44, great site, except the site next to us ran their generator off and on , but the site across the street ran hisall day long, if he was there or gone, he would leave it running, we wanted to hear the river, not his generator , also there should be a dog section, with the generators, barking dog, and running generators together. and then the rest ofus could enjoy the sounds of nature.

We had a great experience, including seeing lots of elk, even in the campground! The camp host was very friendly and helpful, and the office staff were also great. They helped us switch campsites in order to be in a sunnier spot for our solar panels and explained what the later posts were. (We saw people using them for all sorts of crazy things!)

Really liked Smokemont, site on creek which made stay very enjoyable.

The site did not have enough gravel on the tent pad. It was also uneven so when a rain blew through the pad flooded. Our tents were dry and sealed but the tent pad flooded & water rushed into the bottom of tent.

Smokemont is probably my favorite campground in the Smoky Mountains. I camp at all of them, depending on where our activities will be centered around, but Smokemont is a small, quaint campground like the ones I remember when I was a kid.

We had a very nice site at smokemont. This was our first time here. We stayed 5 nights. Elk were in the campground too. Restroom has flush toilets, water fill up and dump station made it convenient. It's only 7 miles to Cherokee. We saw elk and turkey. Shopped and enjoyed a delicious burger. Had our generator during the day. Everyone was nice except mother nature. Lots of rain. We hope to return.

There are trailheads to several hikes to do located within the campground; facilities are clean and quiet. Only complaint was that bathrooms didn't have soap or hand sanitizer.

Beautiful campground. Although it is big , it was quite. People were respectful. Saw a family of elk

Beautiful campground. Lots of wildlife. I was there during the monarch butterfly migration. There were hundreds of butterflies. Saw pileated woodpecker, elk, had a run in with a timber rattlesnake on a trail so be aware. Had a wild baby pig run through camp. Lots of trails and it right next to the river. Beautiful place

A beautiful camping area and good spacing of the sites. Very quiet and relaxing. We have a dog and really enjoyed the hike that ended at the Cherokee land. We just wished there were more options to hike with a dog.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
