Good experience at the campground. The stay was uneventful which is what I want. hiked to Charlies Bunion which is tough and you're rewarded with fantastic views at the top. Also took a ride to the Road to Nowhere (Lakeview Dr) out of Bryson City and hiked through the tunnel and hiked a couple of miles beyond. We saw lots of elk around the Oconaluftee Vistors Center.

All around good experience - friendly camp host (Tom), clean bathrooms, flat tenting sites, great location near a stream, picnic table and fire ring at site, quiet hours (10 pm to 6 am), firewood ($8), and easy access to Benton MacKaye and other hiking trails.

Worst campsite at Smokemont. The tent pad it directly at the corner of two streets and ZERO privacy.

Wonderful campsite and nature trail walk past the creek.

Very nice campground along the creek. If you are a tent camper, avoid section D because generators can also be there and they can be quite loud.

Camp Host was fantastic. All of the other campers were courteous. Facilities were immaculate.

Who'd have thought to find that much flat space that far up the mountainside. Very peaceful with the creek just across the road.
@TylerD96706520 · Camped on Oct 14, 2025 at Campsite #B2
Enjoyed three nights tent camping and were able to book on short notice. Potable water available but tastes strongly of treatment/chlorine; next time I would bring my own drinking water. Ice and firewood available at stables nearby. Enjoyed nearby trails including the Smokemont Loop and walking along Bradley Creek.

Great views and terrific hiking. Seeing the elk is special. Sadly they have very little trails for dogs and bikes. Biking is a great way to get around our national parks.

This is my favorite go to campground in the smokey mountains. I have been going here for the past five years in the summer and fall.

The campground was very clean. It is a great location for the quieter side of the Smokies. Our site was the last site to lose the sun in the entire loop. It would be great in cool weather, but very hot in warmer weather.

Great location to experience the park. Easy access to the Cherokee/Bryson City/Deep Creek areas. Campground was spacious and quiet. The creek was peaceful and the Nature Trail was short, but fun. Cell service in the campground would have been nice.

Nice rustic campsites. Would be nice to have updated restrooms. With counters or shelves to put toiletries on.

Very nice campground. Location is great also! Will be back!
@ElisabethB73DD · Camped on Oct 10, 2025 at Campsite #B21
Super convenient campground to the major hikes. Bathrooms were clean, folks respected quiet hours for the most part, and the stream ambient noise was incredibly pleasant. Only minor complaint is that campsites are pretty close to one another but not really bothersome as long as you set your expectations appropriately! No cell service (T-Mobile, Verizon, or AT&T)
@MichaelS838841 · Camped on Oct 9, 2025 at Campsite #F4
Very nice campground. While we were there they had a warning of bear sightings, not that we were in danger but to be vigilant about putting food away and not approaching them. We were right by the river so that made it nice. Very clean

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
