For $30 a night, I at least expect soap in the bathrooms, and a working hand dryer. Pretty disappointed that this site had neither.

Wonderful and well-kept campground with some sites close enough to the creek to hear throughout the night.Very open, so not much privacy.

Pleasant quiet campground to call home for a few days. The temperature for the site is lovely for a good nights sleep even in the summer. Rangers are friendly and active at the sites checking on people. I look forward to my next visit in the future.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay during the Memorial Day Weekend, I just wished the weather was less wet.The staff was very helpful, the firewood sales was priced well, and did I mention the peace and quiet?

Beautiful park but the majority of the facilities are in major need of updates and repairs. I am sure it is because of funding so I won't get political.. I did not see anyone in the office the entire time.

We loved this campground for our father and son experience camping directly in the national park. The campsite was lovely and clean with a view of the creek. The tent pad was in amazing shape and the latrine was clean. Would love to camp here again and would recommend highly to others.

I booked early at $25 a night then I left early and was charged at the new rate of $30 a night. Seems very unfair. Also the bath room nearest me had the lights off all night for the first 3 nights which mad it difficult to see without a flash light. Camp host was great and very helpful. Have stayed in the Great smokey mnt for over 25 years but now they have upped the price per night with an additional $15 parking fee I dont think it is worth the price. No power or electric or water. Its a shame, it is a great park but you would be better off in a motel. C11 was an ok site just has the table and fire ring on opposite side of camper. They need to lower the price.

Very clean lovely campground. I think we were on site C11. Sites felt a little close together but not too bad. Our site was right by one of the restroom facilities. It was a busy few days but didnt seem intrusive. Across from the site was a large grassy area and then the river. (No other sites obstructing river access). However, across the river was the rv loop with generators running through the day. No showers available. The nature loop was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again

Wonderful site with access to many great trails and quiet hikes. Grounds are very well maintained and bathrooms are well taken care of. Highly recommend if you seek quiet and enjoy sitting by the river after a long day of hikes.

Great spot! Basic campground, campsites are nicely sized and have plenty of space. The campground has a nice river front to stick your feet in after a long hike! Would definitely go back. We had zero service and it was a great escape.

Beautiful park and campground. Friendly, helpful staff and clean facilities. The only drawback is that 3/4 of the sites are oriented so that your picnic table and fire ring are on the wrong side of your camper.

I stayed last at Smokemont in the mid 1990s. Our party had two campsites, and we were pleased that there were no issues with the reservations we made in January. We sought out a new trail each day, and had an excellent experience. The campground served our needs well.

The campground and bathrooms were clean and overall I would go back. I did think the spots were pretty close together and with our neighbors' teen boys constantly running through our campsite to use the bathroom, I would've liked more space. The sounds of running water from the little river were so relaxing and my husband and I both slept very well. The park has bear-proof trash cans but for some reason the closest one to our campsite was a several minute walk down the road. The Smokemont loop is a great hike that you can do without needing to leave the campground, although you won't get the pretty vista views but you can always drive to those. So overall, nice campground but some minor improvements and some things that simply can't be changed left me wanting for a little more. Would love to try the other campgrounds in GSM NP one day.

This was the third Smoky Mountain campground I stayed at and it was by far my favorite! Clean and accessible facilities, well managed grounds, kind office staff, and pleasant neighboring campers. Being a queer, female solo-camper during COVID-19, I really appreciated the small things that made me feel safe so I could fully enjoy my stay.
