We reserved site A2 for our 5th wheel, having given the dimensions during the reservation process. We drove q0 hrs to get there only to find, after spending 45 minutes trying a variety of ways to get the ca,per into the space, that it was impossible. We left and stayed at a KOA.

The campground was great! It was beautiful and peaceful. The best thing (for me) was that there were trails leading from the campground, so we could just head out. The Smokemont Loop (6 mi) was gorgeous and the perfect amount of climb, enough to feel it but not destroy you!

Had a great time camping here. Saw lots of Elk near the campground and the horseback riding at the stables was fun. Bathroom was clean and the campground was quiet and enjoyable the whole time. Close to Cherokee in case anything is needed or just want to go grab lunch.

It was so beautiful. The park staff was so accommodating. Can't wait to come back! Love the horse riding trail made the whole fall foliage magical. Thank yall

As always the staff at Smokemont were stellar, they are so helpful and professional, they really do make the experience at Smokemont a outstanding experience, cannot recommend Smokemont campground high enough to truly reflect how much fun you can have there, so if you get the opportunity to go and visit, do it, you will have a great time !

Campground is well maintained. Restroom is clean. Since it was December, camp ground was very quite with only 3-7 campers during my 10 day stay. With no cell reception or wifi available within the campground, it was a little bothersome to drive to the visitor center or town to get any kind of internet connection. Although, it was only a 3-5 mile ride.

We stayed at Smokemont campground for four nights in late October in a truck camper and it was really nice. Its dry camping ,they hav water to fill your tank and dump station. The park rangers were very helpful with info on trails and scenic drives. It was quiet at night and very clean. Great place to camp.

Good camping spot and staff. Only problem is some sites cannot easily accommodate trailers for the stated length, such as A 02, due to limited road width and tree interfering with tow vehicle required maneuvers.I would certainly camp there again, just not in that site.

Had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed hiking this beautiful area. Camp site was good equipped with picnic table fire pit and level parking and tent space Restrooms were nice and clean.
