Very calm, beautiful campsite with direct access to a "private" non-touristic viewpoint of the canyon.

This is a lovely gem of a campground. On-site manager was helpful. Location was quiet, clean and easy to access. We enjoyed it.

Wonderful campground. No hookups was made up for by the great area. Trees between the sites. The host gave me a tip about a sunset view and it was FANTASTIC! Just 4 minutes from our site. Could not believe it. Little further than that to the store, but still walked there. Campfire fun.

We were a late arrival, about 10 pm. Came right in, site open, set up and off to bed we went.The camp host is doing a fantastic job. Picking up bits of trash, emptying ashes out of fire pits, etc. Very friendly. He's a keeper.

Camp host was great. The site was extremely unlevel and would soap in the restrooms really too much to ask?

Well maintained small campground. Sites are rather close and small (typical for NPS), and the campground is not very suitable for larger rigs. Campground host was excellent. Restrooms facilities were among the cleanest I have seen at an NPS campground. Only downside is you are far from Mather, on the plus side, it is much quieter.

Wonderful campground with excellent sunset view of the canyon a short walk away. Our site was fine for a small tent but larger tents would be better at some of the others we saw.

Desert View had everything one would want in a campground. It was quiet and clean. Chris the *volunteer* camphost stationed himself prominently outside to answer questions, and I really enjoyed our conversations. The bathrooms were the cleanest I've seen in a campground and he visited and tidied up every site immediately after the campers left. I also appreciated the many patrol rounds he made throughout the day and evening.

10 out of 10. Spacious sites, clean, quiet. I heard someone start up a generator around 8pm and within minutes it went off, so I assume the camp host responded promptly. Nice job.

Great boondocking campground. Be advised that the service road is narrow and the sites are small. We were two couples, each with a pickup truck and a 25-foot travel trailer. We got onto our sites, but not without some back-and-forth maneuvering. Water spigots were handy, and bathrooms were clean. The camp host was friendly & helpful. There is a trail to an expansive overlook of where the Little Colorado & Colorado Rivers join. We met elk on that path. There is a 24-hour self-service gas station near the entrance, and its price, while high, was much lower than down by the Grand Canyon Village area. This campground provided a good base camp for exploring the park.

We had site #24, and though it was the farthest site to reach, it was glorious. Our neighbors were hardly in view, and were far enough away that they were unable to be heard. The Elk do come near sites, so just ensure you have nothing hanging that will catch on them.

I enjoyed how dark it was after sunset. It makes viewing the night sky perfect. People kept their outdoor lights off and it was quiet. The grounds were well kept.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
