The combination of water restrictions together with temperatures below 32 was something to cope with, but everything else was ok here.

Great experience visiting the Grand Canyon and Desert View Campground. We went one evening to see the sunset which was amazing. Summer greetings from the Gjoertler Grangaard family from Denmark

Desert view watch tower. Its a very special building always enjoy visiting that area. Currently there is a lot of construction in the area but the campground is peaceful and well-maintained.

The campground is very clean, the campground host is a very helpful and nice man and the campground is well located at desert view (a must see spot in grand canyon).

The location was 5 min walk to the Grand Canyon, area clean and quiet it.

This campground is an absolute gem. We stayed for three nights and loved the seclusion and the beauty all around us. The 1/4 mile walk to the lookout point on the campgrounds is one of the most breathtaking and serene views we experienced while at the Grand Canyon.

Gorgeous camping area, clean- not a fan of our site- it was #7, pull through- we were out in the street but it worked.

Our campsite was basically a wider spot on the road loop through the campground. The back of the trailer stuck out and so, people were driving and walking right down the back side of the trailer all day and evening

Outstanding and well-run facility. Short walk to Watchtower. Large utility sink with running water behind restroom for doing camp dishes is a useful bonus. Tent locations on some sites may be in a slight depression which will cause issues with standing water if/when it rains. Gasoline station nearby (24hr. w/ credit card), but attached store may be closed (Covid) - ice can be purchased at Deli building near Watchtower. Other supplies may require drive to South Rim Village. Wildlife throughout Park is tame, secure food - animals will not be shy about breaking into tents / backpacks / garbage if they can smell food.

I love Desert View. I've always stayed at Mather, but this is now my new favorite. No complaints at all.Camp Host was wonderful, friendly, and helpful.

Loved camping at Desert View Campground! Very peaceful and quiet and just a short walk away from amazing Canyon views! Alan was the best camp host that had plenty of stories and tips. Would definitely recommend this campground to anyone, especially those looking to get away from the crowds on the western side of the south rim. Wish we were still there!

Check-in with the campground host was simple. Campsite and facilities were very clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of other inconsiderate campers (someone was blasting music so that the bass could be heard throughout most of the campground, but this stopped well before quiet hours so was just annoying, not an actual problem).
