Very clean and quiet campground in a beautiful area. My only concern was that 12 sites were vacant but the campground was full on line and had a full sign posted at entrance. Recreation.org needs a better system to free up campsites that are not being used to other potential campers.

A giant camper took my reserved space. I pulled into another space and was luckily undisturbed all night. The camp host was very helpful.

Very nice people. Dark but clean restrooms. And for fire bring your own wood . First time and was very happy to become familiar. Chevron station opens at 8am when I was there

We really appreciated our stay at Desert View. Quieter part of the National Park, which means a quieter experience but a longer drive to the main visitor centers. This particular site was great for our family. Plenty of space for our tent and a nice drive-through parking spot. Our friends booked site 28 and the two spots went together really well and allowed the kids lots of space to run around. Hosts were very helpful and often present, and the facilities were clean. Definitely recommended overall!

The campground was extremely clean and well maintained. Although completely booked it was sad to see so many open spots where it looked like folks just never showed up. We left a day early and notified the camp host so maybe someone would be able to get in, even if for one night. This campground is extremely close to many great viewing points along the east end - much less crowding to deal with and when headed to the main village we just got an early start making for a great experience and much cooler in the morning hours.

We really enjoyed this location, it was a perfect distance away from the interstate and train rails that you could really be in your own oasis of a RV park. Of course, you may hear a train or cars every now and then at night, but then sounds do carry especially on flat terrain. We enjoyed the water and electric hookups, along with the fire pit, grill, and picnic table. Everything was easy to hookup and the bathrooms were clean. The only issue is the showers may need a good overhaul, but for a state park it was sufficient to our needs. There is a sewage dump and trash dumpster at the exit of the RV park, so all in all this site had everything you could possibly need and a site host if there were any issues. Which as soon as we parked, the site host made contact and made sure we were comfortable with our location and pointed out where they stayed in case of any problems. We have AT&T and had no cell issues whatsoever. We had 4G and I was even able to host a video call to family with no major glitches. We especially loved opening our door to a wild herd of donkeys in the morning!

What a beautiful place! The camp hosts gave us a good spot to go view the sunset and we loved seeing the sky at night as well.
