Amazing views, amazing experience. The stars were insanely beautiful. Have been talking about this stay since we left. So thankful we found this campground.

Der Campingplatz ist sehr schn gelegen und gepflegt. Die Toiletten werden sehr gut gereinigt. Toll ist auch der Sonnenuntergang beim Wachturm. Wir haben uns wohlgefhlt auf diesem Platz.

Beautiful, quiet location away from the crowds. It is 22 miles from the junction- which adds a decent amount of time to your travel time. Our campsites were very rocky- much caution needed to navigate at night. One restroom- long walk for some. No shower.

The campground was clean and easy to find even in the dark. Restrooms were very clean. There was a light snow falling when we arrived and was also falling when I got up in the morning. It was cold but beautiful. I took a nice hike before my travel mate woke up.

Fred and Kate the hosts were absolutely rude to us. After our encounter with them we packed up and left the park abandoning our two nights we had paid for. I have been to many parks and have never met someone so rude and hateful. Please hire better hosts and it would be a nice campground.

We really liked this campsite. It had shade, and was within walking distance of both the restrooms and the trash bins. Nice distance between other campers for privacy. At sunset walk over to the Tower for some amazing views and pictures.

This was a great experience. A short walk through the forest to see a part of the grand canyon and a super short drive to the desert view canyon parking lot. The drive to the village takes as long as you take to get there. There are several beautiful view points to stop at along the way. We are at the supermarket in the market plaza and the food was great. Out campground host was very polite and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Cute campground with toilets and sink near out site with water nearby. The only thing is that its about 20-25 miles from the visitor center to catch the shuttle. Therefore, you would have to drive to the main area because shuttles dont stop at this campground.

This was my first stay at Desert View Campground and it was a lovely experience. The camp hosts were incredibly friendly and offered a lot of helpful information. They even offered us some lighter fluid and a tarp since we arrived after the closest store had closed. The bathrooms were clean and stocked and there is even a gender neutral single-use restroom which is a total plus imo.The closest store is at the watchtower, about a 3 minute drive from camp and then about a 3 minute walk. The store has tons of equipment (fire wood, started logs, lighter fluid, etc.) as well as basic groceries. The store opened at 9 and closed at 5. You can get coffee at the tradepost next door.

The campsite was fantastic and the volunteer was very helpful. In retrospect though, I would have brought firewood with me because at $9.29 per bundle at the nearby market, it was a bit much.

Unfortunately we stayed during an excessive heat wave so temperatures were pretty miserable. The campground itself is quiet, beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely be back in the fall when we can fully appreciate this gem.

Alot of rules ...tent has to be 29 feet from fire pit can't tie a bag of non animal attracting garbage bag to a tree limb ( was just Plastic water bottles) have to do the dishes in one sink no hot water take down hammock every day, can go on and in but so many rules just to camp somewhere I understand wildlife but geeze it was like I had to ask permission to take a deep breath... But hey pretty ... Cheap and close to desert view tower so take your choice
