We enjoyed our very brief stay at Desert View CG. The site was clean but sites were very close together. There was nice shade but the trees did interfere with our Starlink reception/connection. We would stay here again as it was very conveniently located to numerous things we wanted to see/do in the Grand Canyon.

This is a lovely gem of a campground. On-site manager was helpful. Location was quiet, clean and easy to access. We enjoyed it.

This campground was really wonderful. The river alongside, and the mountains opposite, made for a really peaceful setting. We did have a little trouble locating the campground itself since we arrived after dark, there wasn't much signage for where to turn. Otherwise, it was perfect. We took a walk up the "summer homes" road, which was really pretty and not heavily used, so that was good. The toilets were fine. Altogether a really nice trip. I wish we'd have had cell service so I could have gone online for a fishing permit, that river was calling my name. Maybe next time.

What an amazing place. We had so much luck to get a spot. Only a few minutes away from the canyon it was perfect for a few canyon visits. The tower during sunset was beautiful .Also the welcome from the Ranger was a great experience. He shared a lot of information which made our stay even more convenient.

This is a wonderful campground for those that do not like crowds. Be forwarded, the campsites are small, just like the notice shows. Don't be fooled to think you can bring a 'big rig' in there and have it work out!The camp hosts, Carla and Walt Isaacs were excellent! They really know how to take care of campers. Hope they are back next year so we see them again.

We had a great experience! Site 32 was everything we thought itd be. The campsites are a little close together, so you can hear a lot,, but thats to be expected, since Grand Canyon receives millions of visitors a year. There was a grate on the fire pit and firewood for sale at the gas station which is close by the camp area. Be aware of the cactus in the ground in several different areas. Not in the tent areas, but around them. They are easy to miss, and step on. Ranger Sonja at check-in was very friendly and helpful. Get up early before the crowd and watch the sunrise at the tower, its breathtaking! Take a tour to the top of the watchtower when it opens! Its cool! The market has good food and there is a store with Starbucks coffee! I stayed at Mather campground a couple years ago and will say that I love Desert view area alot more!

The campground is well cared for. Bathrooms are clean and there is a dishwashing sink behind them. The only thing I didn't like is the spot that was leveled for a tent is not large enough for 6-8 person tent. It is also covered in sharp rocks. Otherwise it was a great place to camp with close access to amazing views.

This was a great experience!! Camp hosts were so friendly and helpful. Bathroom facilities were clean and accessible. My only complaint was the shower facilities at Mather. They were so nasty and needed great attention.

Desert view campground was very quiet and away from the typical crowds at the Grand Canyon. Bathrooms were very clean and well maintained throughout our visit. Campground hosts kept an eye on things and ensured everyone had a safe time. The watch tower is now back open and has been cleaned and repaired.

Desert View Campground was lovely and well maintained. Allen the Host kept things clean and was quite friendly, but not invasive--a perfect host. Only disgruntlement is with the generator campers who destroy the peace of both morning and evenings with their noisy, fume-belching gas-powered machine. Wish for a return to a NO Generator policy at this campground.
