Bathrooms were very clean and looked newly renovated. Host were friendly, make sure you have your mosquito spray, but that is expected in the woods. Just passing by for a one night stay

Monument Lake campground is a fantastic campground. Bathrooms were well maintained as the cooking area and the trail around the campground. I look forward to coming back again.

Wonderful location! The camping sites are conveniently close to clean and well-maintained facilities, which are accessible even at night.The only downside is the antsthere are quite a few ant hills scattered around, and its easy to accidentally step on them.

Place is nice, services are very clean and ready for uses. The fireplace-bbq works. Treea/shade are missing on the spots near the bathrooms. There are so many anthill! I understand that is a natural park, and we are invading their place, but I'm sure there should be a control of it. At least mark them to avoid stepping on it. We've got severely beaten up. Appart from the ants, was a nice experience.

Staff and volunteers were excellent.. campground was clean as was the restrooms/showers.. Phone service was great although no internet.. The small lake was a zero for fishing .. probably because of the 3 medium to large gators! No electric or water on the RV sites but I have a generator as most RV's and a 70 gallon water tank..

The campground was maintained well, with campfire grills, trash and recycle receptacles. The bathrooms were very clean with hot water showers. Our manager, Bob was friendly, providing us with rules, regulations and wildlife precautions. We had cool weather in the evenings and marveled at the beautiful, bright stars in the sky at night. Although we came prepared, the mosquitoes were overwhelming, abundant and hungry. We had an amazing experience!

From the moment we drove into the campground we were in awe of how beautiful it is! The sites are large and the view of the sunset from across the lake was amazing. The campground host Bill was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our overnight stay tremendously. The grounds were pristine and very pretty.

Bring plenty of bug spray and long sleeve shirts and pants. Also bring plenty of ready to eat food . It is a very peaceful place, and I enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets. There is a huge cell phone tower nearby so good connection. There is a community water spigot near the bathhouse but brought lots of bottled water.

We were rudely informed that the campground was closed

Great little campground - no water or electric at the sights (so avoids the biggest RVs). There is a full bathroom with hot showers on one end (very clean). We stayed two nights the very end of the season (closed April 16th) and just a couple of other campers. We had site 26 - with all the sites at that end of the lake have afternoon shade. Good base camp for exploring Big Cypress, Ten Thousand Islands, and Shark Valley Trail in Everglades.

Well kept campground. Conveniently located. Soft grass! Wish we had stayed even longer.

We had a great time tent camping here. The campground is near a cellular tower which was convenient. It is halfway between Everglades City and Shark Valley visitor center, convenient to too much nature, fishing, wildlife. The camp host was very nice and informative and a rager came and gave a night sky presentation that was quite informative. I highly recommend this spot.

Great campsite! Restrooms were clean, other campers were polite, pretty spot right on the lake. Hot showers are the icing on the cake.

Very unorganized had to move camp sites other camper thought they had extra night but did not eventually had it sorted out but staff needs to be better on the check in and check out times
@SarahK3888645 · Camped on Feb 28, 2025 at Campsite #27
The dark sky was perfect for viewing the parade of planets. The campground was quiet, respectful and clean. The only thing I wish it had was more visible numbering on the campsites. We arrived after dark and couldn't see any site numbers so needed to look online to figure out which site was ours.
@AaronND69648F6 · Camped on Feb 27, 2025 at Campsite #5
The hosts or volunteers who oversee the park were very rude and not very accommodating. We did not leave are campsite and were asked to move are tent 3 times in a very short period . Therefore I would not recommend this park due to the powerstruggling pair of hosts .
@RonaldK6773497 · Camped on Feb 27, 2025 at Campsite #13
Nice place, friendly host . Only thing there are no clear cut spots to put your tent and it becomes a bit weird if its booked full to decide who sets up where. clean bathrooms . not a lot of shade on this side for the tent campers . best side for shade is the north side but that's for rv and campers only
@GaryH6725051 · Camped on Feb 23, 2025 at Campsite #25
Very clean ( bathroom and shower ) facility was very nice, quiet, dark at night and hosts were super helpful and friendly I will be there again, probably next year ! Thanks for a great visit !

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
