Great campsite. It has a trail and a lake for fishing. Theres lots to do near by including more trails, the skunk ape research headquarters, and the big cypress visitor center.

I camp here often because it's always a smooth experience. Nice clean bathrooms and showers, potable water available, relatively close to Miami and Naples, and good sites. The few alligators in the lake won't bother you. This last time we could not make a fire due to a very high fire risk but used a charcoal grill/ All good.Hosts were very nice folks.

The park ranger and other staff was very helpful . There is no electricity, but showers are available and they were clean confortable. Other guest were respectful with their generators and generally very quiet.

Fantastic, well-run campground. Very clean and orderly. At least when I was there, it was relatively cool and breezy, so I didn't have any problem with bugs.

Very nice, quiet campground. The host was welcoming and was happy to let us set up camp a little earlier than check in time. Very nice bathroom and shower. Only downside was one shower. We would definitely stay here again.

I've driven by the Big Cypress National Preserve several times, but this time I needed a place to overnight enroute to the East Coast and Lake Worth. There was a fire in the NW corner that was big news at the time, and I did drive through some light smoke when I left Naples on Rt 41, but the air cleared up and from the Monument Lake Campground it was clear skies and generally peaceful. I might suggest a speed limit of 5mph not 15 to account for the cloud of dust that follows a vehicle at speed - When I entered the park I only idled the RV around the lake to my campsite. I would suggest when it's this dry to make a point to campers of only a creeping speed when passing other occupied campsites.

We stayed 2 nights at Monument Lake so that we could go to the Wild Hog BBQ. It was perfect for this, so close by. Good camp host, friendly other campers, sites not too crowded together, clean restrooms, and we loved watching the Purple martins!

The site was over priced. The host did not enforce any of the rules. I had kids on electric bikes riding in and out of my site hitting my tent guy lines. There is only one shower stall for 2 campgrounds. The people staying in full hook up sites next to the tent sites were rude. I won't be back.

It was a lovely view, and conveniently located to boardwalks in Big Cypress Preserve. It was nice how every site was right by the lake. Host and other campers were friendly. Bathroom and shower were nice. Only issue was the alligators! They made us nervous going to the bathroom at night. :-P

We booked 5 sites with our friends..So nice to have this ability in a state that is very hard to get reservations. As locals it was a nice treat.. The camp host was informative and pleasant to deal with. The shower was so surprisingly large and had hot water.. Very clean.. One of the best showers stall I have experienced in a campground. Though there is only one.. worth any wait. Great stay.. great photos at sunrise

Wonderful facility with beautiful surroundings. Great shower and bathroom. Dish washing stations. Not a ton of shaded areas but still very nice.

Nice spot to stay in the middle of Everglades. There was only one thing that we wish was there - hot water for bath. Everything else was just great.

Only real issue is people coming off the highway to drive the loop around the lake sometimes driving too fast and kicking up dust. Quiet hours after 10PM - numerous campers are running their generators all night long and some around the clock.

We stayed at Monument Lake for one evening as we were traveling from St. Petersburg to Key West. The campground was clean, our campsite (#28) was spacious and had a great view of the sunset. We are looking forward to spending more time at Monument Lake to checkout the sights in Big Cypress National Preserve and Everglade N.P.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
