The site was over priced. The host did not enforce any of the rules. I had kids on electric bikes riding in and out of my site hitting my tent guy lines. There is only one shower stall for 2 campgrounds. The people staying in full hook up sites next to the tent sites were rude. I won't be back.

Bathrooms were very clean and looked newly renovated. Host were friendly, make sure you have your mosquito spray, but that is expected in the woods. Just passing by for a one night stay

Bring plenty of bug spray and long sleeve shirts and pants. Also bring plenty of ready to eat food . It is a very peaceful place, and I enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets. There is a huge cell phone tower nearby so good connection. There is a community water spigot near the bathhouse but brought lots of bottled water.

Enjoyed our stay here, quiet, with a lovely setting on the lake. Short drives to visitors centers and wildlife viewing areas.

Campground host Chris was phenomenal! Very kind and accommodating to our college group who desperately needed showers. Thank you for the hospitality!

Great campground, very helpful hosts. Lots of starts at night, flowers opening and mists shrouding the cypress strands in the distance in the morning. I doesn't get much better.

Seclusion was great! Wildlife great! Access to bathrooms was great! Ample space, and access to grills were superb! However, There was 2 bright lights at the main restrooms, which, in my opinion, took away from seeing the Milky Way. (This was on a new moon night)

We reserved our site ahead of time assuming it would be busy and wanted to ensure a spot. I messaged Big Cypress prior to booking, requesting a map of the campground and was never provided one. I booked anyway. Our tent site was on the south side of monument lake and was hammered with wind, non-stop for the whole duration of our trip. Had there been a map available, I wouldve known to book a site out of the path of unrelenting wind. We couldnt sleep at all while here until about 4am when the winds died down. I cant emphasize enough, how easy map making is. And there are no pictures of any of the sites available when booking. When you arrive, the only interpretation board thats supposed to provide instructions for checking in, is completely faded. The *only* good thing about the location of our site was that it was next to the bathroom with flushing toilets. The bathroom on the opposite side of the lake is a fancy outhouse. Overall, I was fairly disappointed with the site. Next time I visit this area, I will be camping in a Florida State Park; Collier-Seminole State Park is only 30 minutes from this campground and light years more comfortable.

Very nice quiet campground. Has running water but no showers. No street lights makes for some pretty amazing star gazing.
