It was a lovely view, and conveniently located to boardwalks in Big Cypress Preserve. It was nice how every site was right by the lake. Host and other campers were friendly. Bathroom and shower were nice. Only issue was the alligators! They made us nervous going to the bathroom at night. :-P

What a gem of a campground. Sites were comfortable, clean, quiet. They have a bath house with hot water showers and water available for tanks. The lake is beautiful and location is easy for site-seeing in the area. Would definitely return.

The facilities were awesome and the camp hosts very helpful. Our biggest complaint is all the generator nose coming from surrounding campers. We don't use a generator. The campground needs a "No Generators" area

We only stayed in this campground one night, but we found it to be clean the sites were pretty big. We have a 43 motor home and we found it a little challenging to get into our site only because the ground was a bit soft and our front tires slid instead of steering us into our site. That little problem aside, its a very quiet campground and overlooks a really beautiful lake complete with a few gators to complete the FL experience. The camp hosts were very friendly.

Monument Lake is a clean, quiet, well run campground in a great location. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Tent sites are bigger than rvs sites and rvs sites are more expensives for not more services( no water,no electricity) plus,got very bad informations about the park Lifetime pass and directions in the reserve. I think peopale Who work in a campinground should no more about where they work....

It was super noisy with people running their generators all day and started again at 6.30am. Certain generator hours would be good.

Lovely campground, spacious sites, central to everything in Big Cypress and close to the Everglades. Hosts are great. My car wouldnt start and the young man jumped it for me with his truck. Made me late leaving and they said no problem. Thanks for the jump and your understanding.

The Campground was beautiful. We saw lots of wildlife. The camp hosts were amazing! Our problem was your generator hours. They are allowed to run 6am till 10pm. The people never to us ran their very load generator from 7am till 10pm. Even when they left the campsite for most of the day for 2 days, they left the generator running. We couldn't take it anymore so we left 2 days early. We don't blame them. They followed the rules. It is the rules that need to be changed. Because of this we had to leave a clean, beautiful park. Please think about changing the generator hours!

We had an excellent time for one night at Monument Lake in our rented Winni Trend. We really loved how peaceful and quiet the campground was. At sunrise we went for a walk around the lake and out to the road. We saw flocks of Ibis flying above, lots of heron and other birds. It was magical and unexpected! Enjoyed the Oasis visitor's center. We would like to come back for a longer stay.
