We stayed at Monument Lake for one evening as we were traveling from St. Petersburg to Key West. The campground was clean, our campsite (#28) was spacious and had a great view of the sunset. We are looking forward to spending more time at Monument Lake to checkout the sights in Big Cypress National Preserve and Everglade N.P.

From the moment we drove into the campground we were in awe of how beautiful it is! The sites are large and the view of the sunset from across the lake was amazing. The campground host Bill was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our overnight stay tremendously. The grounds were pristine and very pretty.

The campground host was very knowledgeable and helpful. There are two dump stations nearby on Hwy 41. Fresh water at the campground. Nice bathrooms. Flush toilets and shower. Nice pond. It has several alligators in it. Excellent Verizon cell phone service.Going east on Hwy 41 there is NO sign saying Monument Lake Campground. It just says Campground 1/4 mile. Going west there is NO sign.Check out nearby visitor centers. (There are a lot of alligators in the canal adjacent to the Oasis Visitor Center.) Airboat rides nearby. Wottens is very popular. Casual dining in Everglades City. Dont miss the Shark Valley Visitor Center east of the campground.

Monument Lake campground was a great stay! Camp hosts were all friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed in a travel trailer and the site pad was more than adequate. Great views of the lake and surrounding marshy areas.

You need to update your website! When we made our reservation, we were led to believe that the site we chose was a pullthrough! It was not!

Beautiful, clean sites with view on small lake with lovely sunset and sunrise. Lots of different birds, including the Roseate Spoonbill and a few alligators! Friendly camp host. Strong cell signal. Lovely location within Big Cypress Preserve. Wish I could have stayed longer!

This was 360 degree nature. Terrific! Campsites 27-34 have nice gravel pads. Sunset in one direction across the lake and sunrise the other direction behind campsite. Lots of birds. Saw only one alligator cruising the lake. Cell tower very close to sites 35-38. 4G service
