I am deaf camper. I am accustomed to system in the past and other parks that provide best quality to serve me especially when communicating and making camping reservation but this place where I visited and where I stayed has been some challenges due to the invisible and were not considered that miss what can provide better fits for those who can't hear at all.

Bring your own soap to wash your hands with. Soap is not provided in the campground bathrooms.

The restrooms were clean and well stocked. Campers followed quiet hours and were very friendly.. I was frustrated by a giant pothole that I almost drove into, but it was filled during my stay. So, I cant even say I have a single complaint. Camp store had a nice clerk. Rangers were helpful. My 9 yo daughter loved visiting Kuwohi while overcast. She got to dance in the clouds! Then, it cleared up and the views. We stayed for 3 hours admiring. Dont forget to bring a layer it was 68 degrees. Charlies Bunion was another favorite. The Appalachian Trail route was the right amount of challenge for my athletic 9 yo, and it paid off with more amazing views. Cades cove scenic loop is also a must. It offers stunning views from a lower elevation. The loop is full of history about the families that settled there. You can actually walk into the cabins and churches. Next time we will bring our bikes and ride it on Wednesdays when they close it to automotive traffic. Our visit was everything i expected and more!

Elkmount is a great option when staying in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The site was well maintained, and the level tent pad was a nice feature. This is a large rustic campground, yet the restrooms and dishwashing stations were cleaned daily. There's a decent camp store open until 6 pm.

The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. The campsite was clean & user friendly. My tent was a out as large as the 16x16 pad. Even though the facilities for the area I was staying is were not open the one that was still open was just as close. I enjoyed my stay in Elkmont campground.

Very nice easy, access to river to refresh after a long day of hiking.

Most amazing place. For the first time in years, had multiple RVs around that were NOT running their generators ALL DAY LONG. Very respectful neighbors, very friendly staff, very serene atmosphere.

This is a beautiful site along the creek. Water access is a short walk- mostly level to the water. Close enough to the bath house. We didnt feel too cramped with neighbors on both sides.

We had a great time! We didn't feel like packing all the food this time, and Elkmont is so close to Gatlinburg that we could head into town for a nice big meal. The site itself was clean, rangers were great. We'll be back!

This was a very nice campground, and the facilities were well-maintained. We did not stay here for long, but we appreciated the shade over campsites and the beautiful scenery.

We stayed three nights in a tent. Everyone was nice. Everything was clean. We loved camping right next to the river. The sound of the water drowned out any other noise and made it feel like we were there by ourselves. We loved the campground being so close to everything. We didnt have to drive long to get anywhere we wanted to go.

We were in spot C2, and it was a great location on the river. You really cant go wrong at any of the spots at the campground.

Stayed in early July. Excellent site, bigger than described. We fit with a 13 foot camper + 19 foot SUV with several feet to spare. It is inclined but not terribly (didn't even use risers). It's right by the river, which is very soothing. NOAA radio (highly recommend) alerted us to a flood warning one night but with Starlink we were able to learn it was for streams and creeks so the river was not in danger. Still, it was pretty brutal rain and I watched a particular rock in the river like a hawk most of the night. Saw several fireflies in the evenings but no bears or deer. Do make sure to put all scented items and food in the car though, there are no bear boxes.

We needed to buy ice from camp store. Twice, it was closed when it should have been open during normal posted hours on Monday the 7th and maybe on Tuesday the 8th. Lady working there seemed some what upset when I got to the window and I had to wait on her to count all the money in the middle of the day ? We camp at Elmont every year. I wish there was a dump station with water for RVs on site. Biggest complaint on this trip is the extremely poor condition of the roads in the actual campground. Worst I've every seen it . I've been camping at Elkmont for my most of my life. I am a senior life time pass holder. Most disappointing visit ever. I hope thing will improve soon.

Elkmont is amazing! We had site E01. It was a perfect mix of a couple of hours of sun in the late morning and shade throughout the afternoon. Great river access and plenty of trees for placing a hammock. The restrooms were just a short walk away. They were clean and the park staff was very friendly. Our family will definitely be camping in Elkmont again in the future. I recommend the hike to Abram fallsits very scenic and the waterfall itself is beautiful.

We arrived at Elkmont without a reservation (impromptu stop in the National Park), and while the 2 rangers at the campground were friendly, they weren't able to assist us in obtaining a campsite in-person due to lack of internet connection in their office. We were told we needed to drive to a scenic overlook to get cell service and book online, and to avoid calling Recreation.gov because it would be faster/easier using the website. The booking process (lack of ability to reserve a site in-person) was the only downside to our stay at Elkmont. A camper checking in before me had to return and ask for a new site, as the online reservation system had double booked the space he'd chosen. Per the rangers, this double-booking issue happens often with Recreation.gov. The campsite was very nice, the restrooms were clean, and everyone respected quiet hours, which made for a pleasant sleeping experience. The rangers in the Welcome Center and Sugarlands Visitor Center were very helpful and knowlegable. We would love to visit again in the future, staying longer and exploring the forest properly.

Its a beautiful campground with so many amazing trees. Close to cool hikes and historic places. Great help from rangers. My family and I loved it

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
