Terrible. Dont reserve this beautiful riverside campsite. (Leave it free for me to reserve all year round!)

The grounds were clean and the facilities clean. However, I was in G23, the tent pad flooded and I had to move. Afterwards it was apparent that the site floods often. Not sure how the staff couldn't have known that and suggested I move to a site near G23, all of which were available.

No soap in several of the mens restrooms. Many lights in and around bathrooms were burnt out.

Good place for stay and visit this park, save your time for in & out everyday, if you stay outside the park.

Easy booking process online. Great email communication before arrival. Quick check in with knowledgeable staff. Beautiful camping area and campsites! Clean restrooms. Near the river and trails. Quiet hours are enforced.

The campground is a beautiful mountain campground. Most sites are big and roomy. However, the upkeep of their roads is terrible. The pavement is very broken and uneven with lots of very large potholes that are extremely dangerous for bicycle as well as damaging your vehicle. Please consider a total resurfacing project.

We went at the perfect time of year not having ac was not an issue at all it was mid 60s and low 70s night and day easy boondocking an rv here with restrooms close by plenty of shades and hikes easy to disconnect from the world put away your phones and enjoy the sounds of the river we will be back next year for the full week in Elkmont

I went tent camping, and couldn't really feel like I got settled in. Was there for 4 nights and each meal you have to unload and load coolers and cooking equipment. It honestly had to be the worst state park i stayed at. Bathrooms were minimal. They dont supply hand soap or hot water. NO SHOWERS!The camp store is a scam. $10 for wood thats typically $5 and ice was $5 for a bag thats typically $1.50 None of the sites have water or electricity. The sites weren't maintained. Lots of over growth and moss to the point I had to assume were the tent pad was.The workers are not friendly. They speed through the campground on the karts at a dangerous speed. It was a convenient location but not worth the inconvenience.

Elkmont holds a special place in my heartI came here countless times as a kid, and the nostalgia keeps drawing me back year after year. In my opinion, its the best campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.The only drawback is its popularity. Its often crowded, and depending on your site, you might end up near neighbors who are a little too loud. Thats why I always try to snag a spot along the Little River. I have my favorites, but I wont give them awayotherwise you might beat me to them next time!The massive boulders scattered along the river create natural artistry, and when the Smoky Mountain fog rises, the whole scene feels almost otherworldly. The area is surrounded by excellent hikes, as well as the historic Elkmont homes, cemetery, and more.Personally, I like to stay one or two nights here before moving on to explore other campgroundsSmokemont, Cades Cove, Abrams, Cosby, and beyond. Thats the joy of Overlanding for me: each site has its own unique flavor.Theres so much to see and do in this corner of the Smokiesmake sure to wander, explore, and let Elkmonts charm sink deep into your memory.

Great campsite, quiet but not too remote. Good facilities within walking distance.

Smoky is a beautiful park but crowded. Elkmont is popular but campsite spacing is great. Downside is no showers & bathrooms are constantly wet. Waterfalls are all spectacular but trails were very busy. Gatlinburg also didn't offer me much as I came for nature, not tourist attractions.

Tent camped in Section G and found the area very peaceful and quiet. Regarding phone service or lack thereof, I did discover you can go to the Maloney Point Overlook just past the Laurel Falls Parking area and get a signal (about 3 miles from campground).

Elkmont is a great place. We always enjoy being there. The tall trees and closeness to the Little River Trail and big pluses.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
