This place was great, rangers were helpful and friendly. Would be nicer once the restrooms are fixed

A well maintained campground conveniently located right outside of Gatlinburg and a short drive to many popular hiking trails; Alum cave trail to Mt Leconte was a fan favorite! Staff was very friendly and helpful with check-in procedures. Although we arrived too late to officially check in the first night, it was a simple process that was taken care of any time between the hours of 9am and 7pm the next day. Although the restroom facilities were closed for renovations, the port-o-potties were well maintained and conveniently spread around the campground. The plot itself was simple but nice; big enough to fit two small (3-person) tents, with a picnic table, fire ring, and enough trees to hang up an Eno hammock. The nearby stream was a lovely feature and great for a quick splash after a long, sweaty day of hiking. Note that there is no cell service, so make sure you have a map or directions printed out so you don't get lost!

All the vending machines were sold out or broken

The entire campground seem to be run by one person which of course is impossible to do

I appreciate being notified prior to arrival that none of the showers or toilets or in operation. This review would have been 4 star if all that was fixed.

Campground is sold out so I doubt anybody really cares about this one star review
