Elkmont is my favorite camping area in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is always so clean and well kept and the rangers have always been incredibly helpful

Loved staying at Elkmont Campground ! We stayed right next to the water which was beautiful visually and audibly ! Best spot for hiking the Alum Cave Trail in my opinion. Beautiful scenic drive into and out of the campground . Definitely a must stay !

we stayed the camp for 4 days and enjoyed the surroundings. However, it will be a great improvement if the site can build a shower place.

Really enjoyed the hike along the river (about 5 miles round trip) and had an excellent campsite. The river bath without soap was refreshing before bed. The bathrooms were pretty nice (compared to porta potties during covid).

It's low on amenities but it has terrific riverside sites. My site was excellent. It would have been too small for a family. The sites can vary quite a bit in size. Most of the sites are well shaded. There is a small camp store that has firewood, ice, and a few other necessities. They also have ice cream. The firewood is expensive. I understand the reason for not bringing our own wood in. It just annoys me that when they changed the policy the price of wood pretty much doubled. Anyway, the bathrooms are flush toilets. They are not the cleanest, but I've seen worse. The lady that works in the camp store is very nice and helpful. The location is great because everything is within 20-30 minutes. Good access to trails.

B9 is a beautiful, shaded riverside site. It was a great base for exploring other areas of the park. I enjoyed hiking , visiting Cades Cove, and just relaxing and soaking in the beauty at this site at the end of the day. Elkmont is busy but always had a peaceful vibe. The lady at the camp store was very friendly and helpful.

This is a beautiful campground. Our campsite was along the beautiful Little River and the view was excellent as was the sound of the water. We were i tents and the ground had been perfectly leveled. The spaces are fairly close together but the neighbors were quiet. For the number of people the campground was amazingly quiet. You cannot bring your own wood and a bundle is a bit pricy at $10, but the wood was good and the fire a nice touch. The check in was a bit delayed as people were asking questions of the attendant. It would be helpful to have an express line for those who pre-registered, but that is not a big problem.
