Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The campsite was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable experience. The surroundings were peaceful, and we really enjoyed our time there. We would definitely consider coming back again.

No suprises, nice RV Park

There were no toilet seats on the toilets. There were piles of dead bhgs in front of the bathroom doors. The sites weren't level. It was disgusting!

Great park. Well kept, everything worked.

It was our first time there, and we had a great time. It was a little disappointing to see some of the prime spaces that we wanted, left open, after showing on the website that they had been already been committed for,But thats life. It was a really solid property.

Small camping spot. Not much area outside.

Very nice. Lots of trees and plenty of room between sites.

We have had a great time at this park. Its beautiful and very well maintained. The only thing I would recommend is to have another dump station built, as the only one there can get full of RVs and youll have to wait in line for your turn, especially in the mornings.

Nice park and sites overall. But, washrooms were the worst we had on our cross country trip. We could not use them. Also, park was a bit of a free for all with no enforcement of number of vehicles at sites. We observed up to six at a site. And, that included guest cars parked on our site.

Nothing but positive things to say about this area. Park attendants are friendly and welcoming. Grounds are well maintained. A great reprieve from the busyness of the Dallas area. And a great place to watch the plane traffic from DFW!

We have stayed at Hickory Creek many times over the years and always have a lovely time. The spots by the water offer a beautiful view of the lake as well as the bridge. The park is clean and well maintained. The public restrooms are in good shape and would be perfect if they provided hand soap at the sinks. We have always had great interactions with the staff maintaining the entrance. Great place for a nice relaxing trip in the camper.

Always a great park which is well kept. Have camped here may years, and it is always a great place. Sites down by the water can be quite windy at times, but other than that have always had a great experience.

Our first COE experience. The park was beautiful, spacious sites and very quiet.

The staff is friendly and helpful. There a lot of water activities. I enjoy paddling and there are several coves to paddle away from the wind. On a calm day, you can paddle for hours and enjoy the beauty of the area.

Very beautiful views of the lake and peaceful time to relax

Quiet, spacious park. Nicely laid out with lots of wooded trails throughout. Very clean, with the exception of the public restrooms/bathhouse, which was not overly clean and was in need of some repairs. Easy access to the lake from most loops; lots of deer roaming the park.

The site (#70) was clean (except for the random bath towel that was left on top of the picnic table). The grass was cut, and the water and electrical worked without issue. The site is nice and shady in the mornings; no need for the awning until the afternoon sun. This spot is level and long enough for big rigs. Plenty of space to walk to the dogs in the field next to the site. I was thankful we found a weekend spot at the last minute.

This is a very well maintained park. The campsites were clean and although the bathrooms needed some work, Hickory Creek is one of the better campgrounds Ive been to.
@CraigB4500034 · Camped on Mar 20, 2026 at Campsite #23
nice visit, it would be nice if there were two stations at the dump station, it got very crowded at checkout time. Very nice boat ramp. Gate attendants were very friendly and helpful

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
