We camped here over Thanksgiving weekend and it was great. Very convenient as we have relatives in Dallas and Lewisville.Great to be in the woods with a lake view right in the Metroplex. We will return!

This place is beautiful. The only drawback is that not all sites have water access and we had neighbors, multiple and different ones walk through our site just to get to the water.

We are always greeted so cordially and we feel very welcome and appreciated. The park is kept clean and nice and the recent improvements to grills and firepits are great.

Our campsite (39) had plenty of space, shade, and a nice view of the lake. We foraged all of our firewood from along the lake shore and found plenty of dry driftwood near the water's edge, only a one-minute walk from our campsite. A new fire ring and a new grill had recently been installed at the campsite, and we enjoyed using both. The restroom / shower building marked as 2 was a five-minute walk from our campsite. While we can't speak for other, similar facilities in the campground, building 2 needs improvements and maintenance. The only evidence we saw of any regular maintenance was replenishment of toilet paper; otherwise, the building appears to be neglected. Of the two shower stalls in the men's restroom, only one had a curtain, and that stall's shower head dripped water continuously. The second shower stall had no hot-cold water faucet, only a push button for water, and no shower curtain. Similar conditions in the women's restroom and shower stalls; a covid-related sign lay on the floor where it appears to have been for several years or more.

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we've ever stayed at. It has beautiful views of a gorgeous lake. There are a lot of deer, ducks and other wildlife. The only thing that is not perfect is the bathroom.

I reserved three nights and the morning I was supposed to leave I decided to book one more night. At 2 pm a loud knock on my camper door and a man aggressively told me I was late for check out. I explained that I reserved another night. He demanded I show proof. As a long time frequent camper at this park, its somewhat insulting to be treated this way. I pulled out my phone and showed him the reservation. He stated that he could not read it without his glasses. He insisted I show him the confirmation number. I showed him the confirmation number. Then he demanded that I tell him when exactly I made my reservation. At no time was he polite, respectful, so I shut the door in his face when he asked me what time I made the reservation after seeing the confirmation number. theres absolutely no way he would have spoken to my husband, the same way he spoke to me. After much thought and consideration, Ive decided to stop supporting this park. I know that I can go to a nearby state park for about half the price with much cleaner restrooms, and much more professional and respectful staff.

We stayed at campsite 047 and absolutely loved the stunning views of the lake with the city in the background. The grounds were spotless and clearly well maintained. The only thing missing was proper water drainage, but overall it was still a fantastic experience.

Weve stayed at Hickory Creek a few times now, and were really enjoying it. It makes us close to family, and we can see that they live in Sangerlots of trees and lake lots.

i love the sites at Hickory Creek for an easy and local camping experience. Check in was easy (and we were able to get in early) and the sites and bathrooms were well maintained.

Beautiful campground with nice amenities. Clean campsites and facilities. Campsites are nicely spaced apart from each other. Most sites have a lake view. Walking trails cover the campground so easy to get plenty of exercise. Campground is conveniently located to lots of opportunities to replenish provisions. We truly enjoyed our weekend!

This is a wonderful facility. We have a 42 class A coach. We were in site 21 which was long enough and mostly flat. Just about any site on the water side of the road is long and flat. The staff was very friendly. The park was quiet during the week. Of course the weekend it was full and louder but nothing out of control. It will definitely be our go to park when visiting our daughter.

Beautiful campground near DFW Metroplex. Had a great campsite, though it was a little noisy from the airport traffic

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
