Beautiful campground that gets very busy in weekends. We were in site 76, pull-thru with water and 50 amp service and spacious. We had plenty of room to fit our RV and enclosed trailer (total length 70). Walking to our picnic table required stable feet as there was a water drainage dip between the RV and the picnic table. We needed to be extra careful at nightfall. The trails around the park are very nice! There is a lot of airport noise, but we enjoyed watching the planes come in for their final approach to DFW. We had a wonderful stay!

We stayed from 5-18-23 to 5-31-23. Our 1st spot was #74. It was a big, level spot with limited lake view. We then moved to #76. It was even better than #76. It had lots of shade & a wonderful lake view! We love Hickory Creek Park & look forward to our next visit!

Nice campground. Very friendly lady at check-in. Restroom buildings were beautiful on outside but sort of old and not heated inside.

My family and I visited this site to celebrate my daughters birthday. We stayed two nights in a tent and had an amazing time with a very large camp site and beautiful view. A little to city to get the peace and nature side of camping as you can still hear the highway and planes flying low to land in DFW but other than that it really was a beautiful camp ground. Bathrooms and showers within walking distance and so many deer were out it was amazing.

This is a great park close to the heart of North Dallas, Plano, and Frisco and has very amenities - several shower/toilet facilities, dumpster/trash cans located conveniently throughout the park, and many sites have waterfront views. As a state park it's very affordable and the spaces are well laid out with many pull through sites. Dump stations located at front of park. Overall a great experience and we'll definitely be back!

Hickory Creek was a great experience! We had a pull through space for our trailer that was right next to the lake. It was beautiful! And compared to other RV parks, the spaces were much further apart so there was more privacy. Plenty of grass to walk our dog on. And there were several bathrooms throughout the park with showers. Reasonably priced also. The only downside was they close the gates at 10:00 pm - really?? So, you better be inside the gates by 10:00 or you will have a long hike to your site. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend.

Stayed 10/25/2020 thru 10/28/2020 site #76. The park has easy access with well maintained roads. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The checkin process was a breeze. The spot we had was a pull through #76 with plenty of room for our 36' motorhome and tow car. It was paved and very level, with easy access to water and electric. The water pressure was very good and we had no issues with the electric. We did not use the bathroom shower facilities but they were adequate and very clean. This was our first stay at a COE Park, but certainly will not be our last.

Having a curfew to get into the park at night. Was very inconvenient and was not specified on the website
