2nd time staying here. Its a nice big campground and very quiet. Great for kids/families. It seems like they try to keep up with cleaning of the bathroom and shower facilities but just a bit more frequency would be great!

Great stay. Level spot. The gate closing at 10 is the only negative but wasnt a problem with my short stay.

Facilities were nice. Good tree cover and space between individual sites. The fact the gates close and a code is not given to enter late was a gigantic pain. Dallas is huge and has a lot of traffic. We had to leave the house we were visiting very early to be back inside the gate on time. Other than that, I will say that quiet hours are not enforced, but if the folks expected to monitor are in an RV with the A/C and TV going, theres no way they could hear other sites are being noisy (its just other tents/small campers that hear).

Friendly staff and park hosts. Restrooms and showers are relatively clean. There is a walking trail where you can occasionally encounter deer and other wildlife. Minutes from good restaurants, groceries, and other shops.

Our experience at Hickory Creek was great. Entry to the the park was easy and the gate attendant was very nice and helpful with directions to our sight. The site itself was clean and roomy. The whole park was clean and spacious. The two things we didn't like was that the restroom and showers were not open by our site. There were only two shower buildings open and you had drive to them. The other thing is that the park is in the flight path of airplanes landing at DFW airport. Other than that the park is really great, the staff were nice and the park grounds are kept clean. Enjoyed our stay at Hickory Creek. Will most likely be going back someday for sure.

Hosts at the front gate are always so cordial and welcoming! Great lake vistas. Clean and warm restroom facilities. So much available near park.

Campsites are well maintained and location is great for water access. Very well secured and park rangers and park police gave camping good sense of security. Convenient to near by food services and supplies.

Kind of out of the way but not, whole park is clean. Site was nice and roomy! Bathrooms big and clean, well also warm it was cold out. Walks around were quite and loved the view. Going back for sure. See ya there.
