Bathrooms are clean but primeval. The cleaners ascribe to spraying everything down to clean so theres water standing in low spots along the walls. I saw a very large (think tarantula) wolf spider on the power station at my site. There were puddles on both sides of the pad at my site.

Love this place! So tranquil and clean. Good restrooms. Most amazing sunsets over the lake. Level spots, electric hookups, and water for RVs or tent camping. Super nice people at the gate. Always smiling and waving. I feel at home here. Definitely will be back.

Park is not maintained very well. The gate policy is a significant problem. Unlike any recreation.gov park in which we have ever stayed. We will not return.

Area was mowed the day before our arrival and there was trash everywhere, including in the fire pit we covered it all with a rug, but missed the fire anthill. Good times. The spot would have been great if it had been better maintained.

Stayed here several times since its close to the house. It was in poor condition relative to past stays. The grass has not been mowed regularly and is knee high in most places. The water hook ups all have a few inches of standing water so its a wet process to connect and disconnect and the rain is a few days old so clearly a drainage issue. No sewer cap at the dump station, just a bucket of rocks. Overall it was disappointing to see it trending downhill on a holiday weekend. The COE is working on a plan to lease these parks back to their respective cities so maybe theyre just being ignored until that finalizes. Either way, generally a decent option on the lake but not as well kept as in the past.

Beautiful location. My only complaint is the grass was extremely high which invites ticks and snakes

Beautiful and peaceful campgrounds.

Trees over loop need to be trimmed up and out of roadway to clear taller rigs. Dragged branches under every tree. Damage to my rig most likely. Camp Spots are Poorly maintained, unlevel, hold water. Mowing needs to be done. Dumpsters are at entrance to camp Sites making Backing it extremely difficult for longer rigs. Build a pad and put them by the entrance/ exit and out of campers sites. They smell. Trees are in poor shape. Most are dead or dying. People working there are nice. Probably worst kept COE park we have stayed at. And we stay at a lot.

The site was clean and maintained. The fire pit was too far from the site. The staff were friendly and helpful. Easy access to a boat launch.

This campground is in a badly rundown condition. They had a lot of rain before our stay and numerous campsites were badly flooded. The loop road had been repaved sometime in the past and is now higher than the camp pads which are very deteriorated. They are no higher than the surrounding grass and have potholes, which were full of water. Campsites should be a little higher than the grass around them, and slightly domed from the center out to drain. That condition simply does not exist here due to poor maintenance. The camper- volunteers seem to to their jobs, but the problems here are beyond the scope of their duties. Will not stay here again. Do not recommend.

Clean park and the hosts were helpful when I goofed up my reservations, good fishing at the boat ramp.

The gate remains closed until 10am so if you go out to breakfast and want back in before 10am you will have to walk back to your camper-possibly a half mile. The volunteer manning the gate will not budge.

My husband and I have stayed here several times and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The camp hosts are lovely people, and the camp itself has wonderful lake views and is quite peaceful. We love it!

I have been to the campground at East Fork lake in TX 5 times. The camp hosts are good people. They have always helpful to answer any issues I have had. Always helpful when I arrive to pick a spot right for me. I like that you can just walk to lake to fish on shore or put your boat in water.

I spent ten days on the grounds. The restrooms were clean and someone stopped by everyday to check them. Dumpsters were easily available. The hosts were gracious and willing to answer questions or offer resources if they didnt have the answer. There was even an on-site RV tech (Happy Camper Mobile RV Repair, Inc.). He travels and this is one of his stops.

FANTASTIC Campground! We stayed for two weeks and had great views of Lake Lavon. Our site (27) was pretty level and had plenty of room. The dump station is convenient but not too close to smell. Dumpsters and bathrooms are easily accessible, and the campground is right in the DFW metroplex, so you have easy access to EVERYTHING! There's a Wal-Mart super-center literally just outside the gate!

We stay here everytime we camp! The people are amazing and so friendly! We absolutely love staying at East Fork! We were born and raised in Wylie, camped here as kids and now we bring our kids to camp here! We actually went to use the showers for the first time and honestly, they were cleaner than any camping grounds we have ever been to!

Nice park but badly needs an overhaul. The bathrooms were disgusting and not cleaned the entire week we were there. I understand it's off-season but that's unacceptable. Hosts were very friendly. Campsite was nice enough, did hold some water after the weather.

Arrived after a rainstorm and site entrance was flooded. Need to add additional gravel so one can walk to the road without needing hip waders.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
