This is a pleasant place, with views of the lake and big campsites, but there are loads of spiders inside the electrical boxes and the bathrooms are prehistoric. The Army Corps needs to put some resources into the campground to rehab The office & restrooms and clean it up some all around.

Excellent experience overall. The staff was extremely helpful, the campsite and bathrooms were spotless, and the environment was quiet and comfortable.

Park needs lots of repairs. Pads almost all of them are in bad shape. Trees need trimming over park road, also some RV pads otherwise good trip. Have heard the city of Wylie may be leasing park. Hope not, price for sites will double or triple in price wait and see.

Very near Walmart Super store, Also many restaurants. Park seems in decent shape, except tree limbs over road inside Park. RV pads need repairs almost all sites. Gate personnel were very friendly and helpful. Will stay again. Hope tree limbs over Park road are trimmed, like vents etc. on top of RV, not ripped off.

Bathrooms are clean but primeval. The cleaners ascribe to spraying everything down to clean so theres water standing in low spots along the walls. I saw a very large (think tarantula) wolf spider on the power station at my site. There were puddles on both sides of the pad at my site.

So much road construction getting there!!! After some harrowing driving it was a great pleasure to spend a couple of days and nights in such serene and beautiful surroundings in an excellent campsite. We will definitely be going back.

We love this park; the amenities, the wonderful staff, and the surrounding area. We come here every year. The two "cons" are: no sewer (and no sewer service available), and an extremely spotty internet.

Stopped for one night on a long road trip in early January. It was foggy so we couldnt see the water but it seems like it would be a beautiful waterfront campground. The greeter at the entry gate was friendly and helpful. Water and electricity hookups worked. However, the place needs a lot of work. The road through the campground is riddled with potholes. A telephone pole is falling down, leaning at about a 45 degree angle. One of the picnic structures has collapsed. The lid on the central dump station has broken off.

Pros:
1. Good space between campsites.
2. Friendly staff.
3. Clean restroom and showers.
4. Campsite was very quiet, except for day use. I believe this was because the mosquitos and chiggers are so bad people stay in their RV’s.

Cons:
1. Bugs infestation. Mosquitos, ants, chiggers, flying knats. If you thing you fog, use zappers, etc. and get rid of these, your totally wrong!
2. Grass is not maintained at all. They had a zero turn mower on site, where they need a tractor with a bush hog. Standing water everywhere, including your camp space and around bathrooms.
3. Unleveled RV spaces, pot holes in the drive area. Terribly maintained RV park.
4. Water and electric only. One dump station outside of gate. And gate closes 10pm to 10am. So if you need to dump between this hours, good luck 🤔
5. The entire shoreline is the day user area. They pretty much occupy all the lake.

Campground was quiet and we had a very beautiful lake view. However, the grounds werent mowed or kept up the way we are used to at other campgrounds. The grass/weeds was at least knee height everywhere surrounding the small patch of gravel, some places the grass was even higher. Not sure that we would chose this campground on Lake Lavon again.

We LOVED the campground even though the sites were quite muddy!! Love the cement picnic table areas on each site. Great views of the lake from the 2 sites we stayed in (45 and 37). What we really didn't like, and we probably won't stay here again until this is changed, is the 10:00 pm curfew. We've stayed at campgrounds before where we've been given a code to use to get in after hours. Something like that would be very appreciated!! Our son lives nearby in Allen so we'll be visiting the area again and would love to stay in East Fork again, but not until this issue is addressed! Thank you!

The campground is scenic and a nice place to go. However the toads into the gate are so filled with potholes you can’t miss them. The roads in the park are also very bad. People let their dogs run loose and never pick up after them. I feel they need more supervision, someone diving around checking things out more.
