This was a great location for us to base a fun weekend in DFW. The campground was secure, clean and easy to access. We'll definitely be back.

Overall we really enjoyed our experience, price is very reasonable. The bathrooms could be updated and litter along the lakefront could also use some attention

We love staying at Hickory Creek. Its a beautiful campground that is thoughtfully laid out. Weve stayed many times. This campsite was the best of the best. Quiet at the end of a cul de sac. Lakefront. Great fishing hole nearby. Lots of space.

The convenience of this park can't be beat for locals like me. Stay here often and on this particular trip - I pulled up to my camper around 4pm on day 4 of a 5-day trip to the park host in the drive telling me I needed to leave. It seems the day added to our original trip online was a day later and someone else had reservations that night. This was all missed as I went in and out of the park earlier, so the park host and I were both surprised. Unfortunately for us, the folks with the reservations that night wouldn't take another site - so, our 33 ft. rig, 3 dogs, 2 cars and bikes had to go.First off, totally my fault with the reservations. Secondly, the park host was professional, courteous and offered us another spot for the rest of our stay. Heck, it was already well past check out/in times and the interaction was nothing but nice. And lastly, you can bet we'll be back. Good park, good people.

Excellent location with easy access to Dallas, Fort Worth, and Denton. Well maintained, friendly and helpful staff, level sites. Bathrooms are typical older but clean. Good separation/green space between sites. We drive down from OK several times a year and hang out for a few days. Go. To IKEA and museums.

Campground is kept very clean. All sites are clean upon arriving. Bath houses are also clean with warm water and heated in the cooler months. Seeing the deer roaming around is such a treat! Love this place!

I liked Hickory Creek a lot. If I were to comment on just one thing, it would be the courtesy and assistance we received from one of the staff (Debbie). The location near FT Worth was a plus. The restrooms and showers were clean (but it is worth noting the the temperature of the water in the women's showers was definitely warmer than in the men's showers). The park is well maintained. Many of the sites are close to the lake. We will definitely go back.

Lovely place with views of the water. Try and pick a shady spot if it's summer.

Wonderful park with lots of sites right on the water. Great walking trails through the woods as well. The only downside is you can hear traffic from I-35, but it wasnt a big deal to us. Theres multiple restaurants right outside the park gates, so we treated ourselves to Mexican takeout one night, something we dont normally do while camping. Were so happy to have this park just 15 minutes from home, and well definitely be back.

Love this location the only negative is the 10 pm gate closure. The sites are very nice, fairly level and it is convenient to so many places in the metroplex.

Been going there for 15 years. Very clean our campsites are great. We have to make reservation 6 months in advance to get the ones we prefer.
