Excellent COE park. Clean, nice staff, great infrastructure. I stayed in site 19 - it has a definite slope down to the front, but I was able to get level. The site behind me is close, but plenty of room on the front side. This park is in the approach path to DFW, and there were a LOT of jets directly overhead...that's about the only downside to this campground. If you stay on the east side of the camp you will hear the IH35 traffic...the west side I sheltered. Each site has a fire ring and nice new charcoal grills/smokers. There's a very nice nature trail, maybe two miles long? Heads-up that the entry gate closes at 10p...that's a plus for me.

Beautiful campground near DFW Metroplex. Had a great campsite, though it was a little noisy from the airport traffic

We love Hickory Creek! We were in site 19, it was a little rough getting our 41 5th wheel backed in as the site is on a slope, but it was doable. A newbie might have trouble, though. The site had a great view of the lake and good access to it as well.

The host was very helpful on when the sites might be booked up the next weekend and friendly. Park in great shape. I mentioned to him the dump station seemed to be full and he said he'd somebody on it!

We were there 4 days for my daughter's 30 birthday with friends coming and going during our time. It lightly rained on and off during our stay, which was a welcome from the heat. We were able to have many people come on the day of her birthday without any resistance from Park hosts (i.e. rules, etc.). I guess we didn't break any. Hickory Creek is one of the best parks we've ever stayed in. Sites are not to close and many, many trees for shade. Majority of the Park hosts are very friendly, but there is always that one that (I guess) doesn't have a friendly demeanor. Didn't hinder our trip. It was great.

One of the most beautiful campsites we have stayed at. The spaces are very spread out and shaded. The scenery is gorgeous. We loved the paved trails which allowed us to push the baby in a stroller. The campsite is nestled beside an upscale neighborhood which felt safe and convenient because it was nearby restaurants and stores.

Beautiful campground in the middle of the city. Surprisingly quiet! Roomy sites. We stayed on our way down to So. Padre and again on our way back home.

Our family of 5 plus the dog enjoyed our stay. Check in was smooth and easy, we had 2 vehicles and a travel trailer. Our spot was perfectly shaded and close to the water. Kids enjoyed fishing and swimming. We will be back for sure! Best part is it is so close to home, yet feels like it is miles away.

Large bathrooms are super clean, separate stall for shower with dressing room. Heater in the bath room, everything works and functional. Overall park is managed very well. We enjoyed our stay and camping there.

Beautiful park, relaxed, and chill. Ive always loved going out to Hickory Creek. I would recommend this as the best place to camp around Denton. Ray Roberts is nice, but the park Rangers lick their chops if anyone younger than 65 goes out there. Not so the case at Hickory Creek. You are Welcomed and appreciated as long as you are responsible!
