Blaine, a suburb of Minneapolis, has access to some of Minnesota’s best camping locations. Bunker Hills Regional Park, just minutes away, offers family-friendly camping with hiking and biking trails. Interstate State Park, along the St. Croix River, features scenic bluffside camping with rock climbing and canoeing. Wild River State Park, further north, offers remote camping with access to the St. Croix for paddling adventures. Itasca State Park, where the Mississippi River begins, provides wilderness camping with stunning lake views. Savanna Portage State Park, further north, offers rugged camping with access to historic portage trails.

Lake Cochrane Campground is part of Lake Cochrane Recreation Area in South Dakota (1 hr 34 min north of Sioux Falls, SD) with an elevation of 1,690 feet. There are a total of 31 campsites including 1 cabin. The campground is open all year. 30 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 45 and 80 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 3 months in advance. 30 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $26.00 to $55.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, swimming, restroom, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, water skiing, floating sports.
