Whiteface Reservoir Campground is located in the Laurentian Ranger District, Superior National Forest (1 hr 6 min north of Duluth, MN) with an elevation of 1,481 feet. There are a total of 36 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of September. 31 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 50 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 20 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $22.00 to $1,810.00. Some amenities include playground, boat ramp, swimming. Activities include fishing, hiking trails.

Terry and Jeff are outstanding hosts! They are completely focused on the safety and enjoyment of the campers. They, and their people, keep the campground, clean, quiet, and comfortable.

The little store there was never open. The camp host couldn't tell us where a dump station was to drain our black & gray water. What good is a host if they can't give information. Camping was great & the lake was beautiful. Will go again, but do my research ahead of time.

Whiteface Reservoir Campground is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and refresh. Swimming in the cool, clean water, and hiking amidst the fragrant pine forest is such a gift. The campground has lush forest growth between campsitesis, is clean, and has friendly staff, and top notch management.

We have camped at Whiteface Reservoir for a few years and have always had an excellent experience. Not only is it beautiful, but it has very well kept grounds, clean restrooms and great fishing. The one thing I appreciate the most about camping at Whiteface Reservoir, however, is the manager, Teri. She is the most hardworking individual I know. Teri truly cares about each and every camper and wants them to have the best possible experience during their stay. She goes over and above to make sure campers feel welcome, cared for and safe. Teri treats everyone with kindness, respect and makes you feel as though you just made a new friend. You can tell she loves what she does by her hard work and dedication to make everyones camping experience a positive one that will keep you wanting to come back year after year. Great job Teri!

My family appreciates the friendly staff. Our campsite is always clean and the grass is cut. Also the bathrooms are remarkably clean. All in all we love everything about the Whiteface campground.

TJ was delightful. She went out of her way to make us feel valued as a customer at Whiteface.The facility is beautiful. One of the best that I have seen around the country.The only ding is that there is no dump station.....but TJ gave us directions to the nearest place to dump. Much appreciated.

Great stay at whiteface reservoir. Super friendly crew at the check in booth. Kids liked the playground too. Only thing missing is a dump station.

Whiteface Reservoir is one of our favorite campgrounds. We were sad that so many of the trees had to be cut down, making the sites more open, but we still enjoyed our weekend here. (The trees, will of course, grow again). Teri is always friendly and helpful. Teri and her staff go above and beyond to make sure the campground is well managed to ensure campers have the best camping experience possible! The bathrooms are the cleanest weve ever seen in a campground!

There was a gate that was locked and the spot there would be a key was broken. I was not able to access the campsite.

Teri and Jeff & their crew did an excellent job (as usual) during our visit to Whiteface Reservoir this June 2024. Campground is kept in great shape; very friendly hosts. Notified us when there was a threat of severe weather, and where to go for shelter in case bad weather happened.Will be coming back!

Spent three nights at Whiteface, It rained the all three days. So the last day it was sunny and beautiful so we decided to take our time getting packed up and on the road. We knew nobody was coming into this site until tomorrow. We were sitting at the picnic table when the camp host came by and yelled at us from the road. Telling us that checkout was 11 AM. This was about 2 PM. I told her I would pay for the extra time. She yelled back to stop in at the office on the way out. I paid 17 dollars for the 4 hours. I thought the host was extremely rude. She never bothered to actually have a conversation.

Hiking trails are impassable including the one that takes you from the campground to the office, roads are patched and in a state of disrepair, several trees are down that need to be cleaned up. The forest service should be helping to keep this beautiful campground and launch in shape. It has several visitors in a season despite not having a dump station or shower facilities. Obviously there are not enough resources to keep this maintained the way it used to be. Help is needed to staff this facility.
