Nice, decent size & level site (27) with shade. Fairly quiet with a clean vault toilet on the north side. Walk to good showers on the south was not that far, at least for us. Horseshoe pits! Good, friendly hosts.

The bugs were relentless this year, but we really liked our spot at sandy lake. The pit toilets, were getting kind of stanky, by the end of our stay, though, and it was a bit unhandy that the shower houses were in the other half of the park. The first day we didn't realize that there was a walkway, connecting the two, if you walk over the dam and so we drove, but the next time we were able to use the connecting walkway

The sites in this area are TINY, with campers stacked one on top of each other on both sides of the road. To make things worse, the road is two-way, meaning it's not a loop like a "normal" campground and people need to go back & forth on this narrow road to get in and out of these sites. Even though it's two-way, the road is just a single lane width. To make matters worse, campers are parking right off of the road, making it quite difficult getting in and out. Look at staying in one of the other loops, or at a different campground if those sites are already full. They also did the bathroom cleaning first thing in the morning, so don't expect to use the bathrooms or showers.On the positive side, it was quiet and peaceful once I was able to squeeze our camper into its tiny little campsite.

What a great Corps campground! Campsite was tidy, facilities nice and clean. Didnt use the beach but I paddleboarded around the bay and used the boat launch. Super enjoyable. The campground hosts were super friendly and helpful. We'd just booked one night as a rest stop on the way home, but will definitely be back for a longer stay.

We first visited this place last year and immediately set up a family camping trip for this year. Its an awesome campground with a beautiful beach and the best part about it is you can bring your boat and get out onto the big water. Everyone associated with the campground Was very very nice.

Great quiet little campground for the family. The beach and swimming area were awesome and the kids loved the dam and fishing down in the river.

We were happy to see they replaced most of the docks on the North and South side, some of them were dangerous. Thank you for upgrades. We also noticed the weeds were attended to as well. The only negative is the hosts would pounce on you as soon as you arrived at your site to sit and give you your parking pass for vehicles. I had to move my RV several times to get it where i wanted it and they sat in golf cart and watched the entire time. Nobody likes to be micromanaged on vacation. I suggest they wait till campers are set up and come around maybe one time for passes. thank you

Beautiful campground. Our only comment is that at every other COE campground we have been to, the campground hosts check in with you at least once and drive around a couple times a day to check on things. The only time we saw these hosts is when we asked for the bathroom code and that was giving me the code and that's it. The power went out after a storm in half of the campground and no info from them. When the ranger drove thru, I asked if he knew about it, and he didn't. We were without power for 14 hours on a hot day. Power went out at a different COE campground last year and the host went around to every camper and updated them on what was going on. That should be what a host does.

The camper cabin is tucked back from the road, giving privacy, and has ample room for additional tents on the site. The facilities are kept clean and the beach is large enough to handle multiple large groups with distance between. We loved our visit and will be returning next season.

We were grossly disappointed being guests for 30+ years on this visit. Our neighbors had 4 cars; 2 tents on the grass; a large motorhome and about 12 people and 2 dogs. They locked the dogs in the camper for hours and they barked the entire time. The "hosts" Janice and her husband never did their PM loop; they would have seen the mess next to us. Our neighbors also stayed up past 2:00 am and were extremely loud. Other campers went to their site multiple times and asked them to quiet down, which lasted about 8 minutes each time. Upon check out, a guy was filling up at least a 100 or more (2) liter pop/plastic bottles with hose water and washing the back of his car, blocking a line of campers trying to check out. Good Golly, step it up people. No one around to address our concerns. Great place but if you have an emergency/issue, you're on your own.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
