Beautiful park! We stay here every year even though we are 4 hours away!

Campsites are oriented, so that even though they are close to each other, you get great privacy. Picnic tables are coated metal so, if it rains, they dry quickly. Bathroom and shower are adequate with plenty of hot water. Campground was quiet. Opportunities to walk to fishing. A very relaxing time.

The site was well groomed and prepared. The bathroom was kept clean, although the hand sanitizer was empty. Staff came around and asked how everything was and if we were satisfied with our visit. Very friendly.

Great site and facilities! Been here a few times and have always enjoyed our stay. Lots to see in the area and the fishing is a bonus. Multiple barges traveling up and down river. Trains are present but you get used to them. Restrooms were fairly clean, but the privy had a ton of bugs all over and could have used a sweeping. Some construction going on but no biggie. No issues with power or water. Great River Roadhouse was very good for bar food. We did get overridden with Asian and box elder bugs.... Lost them when we moved south.

Park was fairly vacant in October. Very large seasonal campground/mobil home park next door. LOTS of noise - trains, road noise and construction. Fire rings sit behind campsite so your back window looks out on someone elses fire. Wont be staying again.

I like it when I can get a spot next to the water and this time I was lucky.

Peaceful campground with clean bathrooms. It was fun to be right by the water.

Disappointing there was on potable water in the campground. We had to go to the adjacent campground for potable water. Bathhouse was clean and more than adequate, otherwise. Campsite was nice and level and within easy walking distance (less than a 2-minute walk to see the Mississippi River.

Loved our site (57, West) as we were on the end of the row. Close to the river, clean bathrooms and quiet campers. Army Corp of Engineer campgrounds have been some of the best we experienced on our trip!

BlackHawk is One of my favorite places to visit. The sites are level and clean and the river is always beautiful. Autumn is the best in my opinion. The bathrooms are not the greatest, but they do their best- they have water quality issues. Great fishing. Excellent food nearby and love going down the Prairie Du Chien for Golf, food, mini golf, disc golf, movie theatre, Shooting range, etc. Take the tour (not in your RV, however, some areas are tight to get to and lots for hills) around to learn about the rich Native American history. Camp is pretty basic, has electric at each site, no sewer (dump station by guard shack). No drinking water at sites, so fill tanks with the only potable water by the guard shack. I consider these on minor inconveniences, some my find that a deal breaker however. I do a lot of boondocking, so it's not a problem for me. Enjoy your visit, and toss a line in for me.

A launching area dedicated to canoes/kayaks would have been appreciated.

This facility is manned by hardworking dedicated people who talk to you and ensure your experience is wonderful. The location and value are exceptional. It's my favorite place to Basecamp.

We love this park in the fall. It is well maintained and quiet - you can hear trains and barges but we easily get used to them. We stay in the Upper Loop where you are able to choose a shady or sunny site.

Very enjoyable time. Sites nice and level.

Beautiful park! Multiple options for getting on/off the water. DeSoto Bay has always been one of our favorite areas to fish! Wish there were showers or water hookups on the upper loop. Mosquitoes were the worsts Ive ever seen.

Nice level spots. Lots of room between campsites. Long spots to back in. Extra parking spot was great. Shower house was nice and clean. Because of its location, bug spray is a must have! We love Corps of Engineers campgrounds. We have found that they are very nicely maintained.

No problems at all. Just a pleasant place to camp. Would be nice to have contact with park rangers to know they are around. Shannon at the River Market was most congenial and friendly. Shannon also did a great job of cooking. Thank you.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
