The campground was very nice BUT the railroad tracks with crossing was too close. Trains all evening/night. When two trains went by at 6:30 blowing their horns we decided not to stay our scheduled second night. Maybe it would be better if we had been camping at the far end of the campground but access to showers were important to us.

Sites spacious and well spaced. Clean. Quiet. Except for the great number of freight trains rolling through but thats to be expected. Beautiful sunsets over the river. Nice people camping there.

Except for the train traffic, which didn't bother us, a quiet, peaceful campground. Nearby small town Potosi, WI, is worth a visit. Great view of the Mississippi river from the campground. Person manning the check-in was a little gruff but maybe it has been a long summer.

Great park and nice location on the river, but the train noise is a real drawback as they run day and night and lay on the horn when passing the park, you kinda get used to it but other then that the park is vey nice and well kept.

The campground was very nice. The only problem is it is right next to double train tracks and there are trains coming through every 30 to 60 minutes every hour day and all night long so if you are not used to hearing trains blow their horn in the middle of the night, this is not a very good campground to stay at

Its not too far from Galena Dubuque, or attractions in Wisconsin. The only drawback is all the train traffic.

We tried to camp here at least once every season. The view of the sunset over the Mississippi is second to none. Every site has a view of the river so that is very enjoyable.

Would have preferred to be closer to the river, but understand there is limited sites. Loved the trains as my father traveled those exact tracks when he worked for the railroad. His trip was Galesburg, IL to LaCrosse, WI.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
