The train noose can be loud, but you get use to it. The Potosi Brewery is a short bike ride away and the beer, food and atmosphere are great. There are some nice but sometimes challenging bike rides.

Very pretty and peaceful site on the river (#28) - The park is very clean and each site very well laid out. Check in was easy. We will return!

A nice, clean, quiet, except for trains, campground along the Mississippi River.

This place is a gem. You do need to get over the fact that the trains do go through frequently - but you are right on the river and close to small town Wisconsin. Potosi is a cool little community. We were on site 28 - I would state this isn't an ideal spot for a tent trailer as it is on the corner and the headlights hit the trailer with every car.Great that there were concrete pads at almost every site along with electricity. Nice usable firepits.

Very well-maintained with the beautiful view. Can’t beat beautiful view of the Mississippi! Enjoyed it thoroughly, only negative, there are trains that run along side of the Campground quite often so, it can be a little bit of a drawback. Even at night. But the view is worth the noise the train crates. Would recommend it unless you are a very light sleeper.

Sandy is a Very friendly, informative and helpful office attendant. The park was clean and seemed well run. The trains are nearby and can be an issue. The Potosi Brewery is nearby and always a great place to visit. The park is also located close to Dubuque so day trips can be in order.

Your web site to reserve a site needs help. To reserve a sought after site ahead of time, you have to reserve a day @ a time. Open up sites at least for the week. And this waiting till 9:00am is stupid! CAMPERS ARE VERY COMPETITIVE!

Found this gem after Labor Day. Right on the river with a scenic view of the river. We enjoyed the evening and sunset from the shores of the Mississippi. Very laid back and quite. The only reason it doesn't rate 5 stars was because of the trains going past thru the night. But we still were very happy and we will be back!

The power at our site was erratic. We have used this site two years in a row and the power was erratic then. I have a power management system on our coach and it indicated power problems. The front gate agent moved us to a different site. The COE (manager?) drove by and I told him about the site (and the site next to it) having power problems. He immediately got defensive and argumentative. He questioned my knowledge about such things and asked if I was an electrician. I was talking to him through his window on his vehicle. He got mad and pulled away with me still in the window. I could have been injured.I am a retired computer science engineer with graduate degrees. I did not flaunt this to him.He needs to get training on communication skills, customer support training, and anger management. This is verified by the agents at the gate, and an agent in the vehicle with the Manager.Alan Gelhar/Dorothy Gelhar
