low star due to outage of water during my staing (they placed chem toilet)cute campsite near sand dollar beach (watch out, parking there require 10$ cash fee, but then you can park also to willow creek picnic area, down the bridge - you have to show the fee fee envelope on your windscreen and put in the fee box at the end of day)water avaiablegas price is insine (especialli in Gorda) and ATM was out of service too

No potable water but the water available can be used for washing dishes. Portable toilets are very clean and since adding an additional 3 this has helped the campers on the south side not have to walk too far in the dark to access them. The campground itself is very lovely with a lot of space between each campsite.

The camping trip was enjoyed by everyone, and the host and other campers were wonderful. GS 1 is full of poison oak and not well maintained. The poison oak was growing next to the stairs to the campsite and could not be avoided. Also, the water to the back end of the campground had been shut off, and there was no warning ahead of time. It was difficult to keep enough water by the campsite to put out our fire. Will come back next year, but will avoid GS 1.

Very pretty scenery!

BEWARE of lack of provisions! NO potable water! Only the north end of the campground (near the host site) has water (which is non-potable). There is water available at the fire station (just north of the campground). But I had to find that out myself, the hosts didn't offer any suggestions. Porta-potties are only here as well and they haven't been cleaned in a month----so gross. The hand-wash stations have soap, but out of water. The camp hosts are typically there in the afternoon/evenings to check in and sell firewood ($15/bundle- cash only). They are not there at night or mornings. The group sites looked perfect! There are 2 vault toilets per group site and they were clean! (worth the bike ride up from the single sites). No cell service in the area, download hiking trails ahead of time, they are not well marked and we encountered several splits in trails without signage. Due to the landslide road closure expect much more traffic on Nacimiento Road. The McLarens and Lamborghinis were fun to watch fly by (but I'm really thankful we weren't walking to the beach at those times; they were going so fast!)

This is a great place to camp. The space was plenty and it's about a 10 min walk to the beach. Camp sites could be a little close to other campsites but isn't crowded. During our time the restrooms were out of order. So they were able to bring in portable potties. It seemed like they cleaned the toilets everyday and emptied them every 3 days. The camp hosts were great.. very friendly and helpful. Advise.. lock up your food and snacks. Raccoons, skunks and I believe a fox got into our food. So make sure you lock it up

I really enjoyed staying at Group Campground 3! The site is well-maintained, and I appreciated how park staff come by daily to empty trash cans and the recycling bin. When camping in a group, you create a lot of trash, so having those bins regularly cleared makes a big difference.The main reason I rated it four stars instead of five is because of the water faucet at our campsite. Most of the other faucets in the area have newer, easy-turn handles with strong water pressure. Ours had the old, stiff twist knobs that were slow and tough on the fingers, which made filling jugs or washing dishes frustrating. I often walked over to the faucet near the restroom just to get water faster.In terms of scenery, I would personally rank the group campgrounds like this:Group Campground 1 Best scenery and most privacyGroup Campground 2 Beautiful and a close secondGroup Campground 3 Still nice, but the least scenic of the threePrivacy-wise, Group Campground 1 feels the most secluded. Campgrounds 2 and 3 are closer to each other and share the same type of restroom.Speaking of restrooms, these are vault toilets (non-flush, waste goes into a holding tank). Theyre what youd expect for campingno flushing and not the most pleasant smell, though not unbearable. Id rate the smell around 45 out of 10 depending on the wind. Bringing a small air freshener can help. If flush toilets are important, some of the non-group campsites might have them.One thing we enjoyed was seeing squirrels and a few raccoons. It was fun for the kids, but make sure not to leave food out overnight. Either store it in your car or throw away anything youre done with, because wildlife will come by to check for snacks.Overall, even with the minor faucet and restroom drawbacks, I would still recommend Group Campground 3 for a fun group camping experience. The cleanliness, upkeep, and little wildlife sightings made it a great stay!

Awesome campsite, love the location. One of our favorite places to camp. We were there during the week and had no issues with people not following the rules. The sinks the bathrooms are not operational but once the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper but it was quickly restocked later. Be advised we did see multiple raccoons active in the campsite once it got dark. Also saw skunks too.

The hosts, William and Lisa, were very helpful, friendly and responsive. We went for one night and were able to stay for two, thanks to their diligence in letting us know about another site available for two nights (before setting up our tent). The campground was mostly quiet and the bathrooms were well kept. The location is ideal for a weekend getaway, off the beaten path and close to beaches.

The drive-through the campground is pretty tight, so if you have a large RV, you can pretty much forget about this campground. Otherwise its a beautiful place. The campground hosts were delightful, friendly, and courteous. The campground Road is full of potholes, though, which could use some attention from the state of California.

Nice campground, but watch out for the boulders! There are large boulders along all the roadways and campsites, making it difficult to navigate and difficult to pull into your campsite! The forest service has made this unnecessarily difficult for larger RVs. Everything else was good about the campground, though it was very busy on a summer weekend.

We were in site 006, clearly the BEST site in the whole park. The camp hosts, William and Lisa, were 2 sites up from us. I have NEVER been witness to better camp hosts at any park I've ever been to...ever! They were very personable, helpful, friendly, etc. The place was CLEAN. William was constantly buzzing around in his cart dumping trash and tidying up. Because there are parking spaces for extra vehicles, random peeps would come in and try to park because Sand Dollar Beach is right down the street and it gets full on the weekends. William was patrolling to make sure people who didn't pay to be there would move and hit the road. He had to deal with some real turkeys, but he got the job done. This place is very gorgeous. I will say that the large ROCKS that have strategically placed so people don't park on the grass are a little tough to navigate so you'd better be good at backing in and avoiding damage to your vehicles. Our site was actually level from side to side, which was a shocker. We are 45 ft in length total, truck and trailer and we squeaked into our site 006 just fine.

Staff as usual where in good humor, attentive and helpful. Too bad the trees are slowly dying and being cut down. .

William and Lisa were fantastic camp hosts! They would check the toilets and trash sometimes 3x a day, making sure it was tidy and well kept. They were both friendly and we enjoyed their friendliness! Plaskett creek is well situated on the coast and its one of my favorite places on earth!

Camped here many times over the last 25 years and my last stay was exceptional. The camp hosts (Lisa and William) were the best hosts I've ever met. Lisa was always around and went out of her way to accommodate an extra night stay for me. They both were extremely friendly and wanted to take care of all their guests. The bathrooms were really well kept and smelled like they had just been cleaned each time I went in, despite the time of day. (Nicely done, William!) Campground was clean and very well managed. Plenty of potable water, despite other reviews. Looking forward to going back soon.

Lisa and William, our camp hosts were very warm, friendly, and helpful. They kept the campground in order and clean. Both had wealth of information to share. The restrooms were clean as William consistently tented to them, always working on something while Lisa was very engaged with visitors making everyone feeling comfortable. Would definitely visit this place again, primary because of our hosts.

Fantastic campground steeped in all the enchantment and magic of Big Sur. Friendly folks and a variety of spaces available. Site 35 was quite large but much of the ground was sloped; I was happy to place my tent on a soft patch of grass near the road at the front of the site; I was worried it might not be as private but it was perfect and woke me up with sun in the mid-morning and shaded in the afternoon. Glimpses of the ocean through the trees and the mountain to the north. Private but with a full view of the campground; pleasantly surprised by a black cat that passed through multiple times and tons of birds including quail. Bathrooms made a nice addition but the sinks were not in order.

Beautiful location, bathrooms sinks were not working but thats okay. Make sure you lock up your food in your car or in a secure place since we had raccoons open up our bins and a skunk sneak off with a box of cookies.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
