The drive-through the campground is pretty tight, so if you have a large RV, you can pretty much forget about this campground. Otherwise its a beautiful place. The campground hosts were delightful, friendly, and courteous. The campground Road is full of potholes, though, which could use some attention from the state of California.

Nice campground, but watch out for the boulders! There are large boulders along all the roadways and campsites, making it difficult to navigate and difficult to pull into your campsite! The forest service has made this unnecessarily difficult for larger RVs. Everything else was good about the campground, though it was very busy on a summer weekend.

We were in site 006, clearly the BEST site in the whole park. The camp hosts, William and Lisa, were 2 sites up from us. I have NEVER been witness to better camp hosts at any park I've ever been to...ever! They were very personable, helpful, friendly, etc. The place was CLEAN. William was constantly buzzing around in his cart dumping trash and tidying up. Because there are parking spaces for extra vehicles, random peeps would come in and try to park because Sand Dollar Beach is right down the street and it gets full on the weekends. William was patrolling to make sure people who didn't pay to be there would move and hit the road. He had to deal with some real turkeys, but he got the job done. This place is very gorgeous. I will say that the large ROCKS that have strategically placed so people don't park on the grass are a little tough to navigate so you'd better be good at backing in and avoiding damage to your vehicles. Our site was actually level from side to side, which was a shocker. We are 45 ft in length total, truck and trailer and we squeaked into our site 006 just fine.

Fantastic hosts that worked hard making campers comfortable, sharing knowledgeable travel tips, and keeping the campground clean. Sand Dollar beach is incredible!

Staff as usual where in good humor, attentive and helpful. Too bad the trees are slowly dying and being cut down. .

William and Lisa were fantastic camp hosts! They would check the toilets and trash sometimes 3x a day, making sure it was tidy and well kept. They were both friendly and we enjoyed their friendliness! Plaskett creek is well situated on the coast and its one of my favorite places on earth!

Camped here many times over the last 25 years and my last stay was exceptional. The camp hosts (Lisa and William) were the best hosts I've ever met. Lisa was always around and went out of her way to accommodate an extra night stay for me. They both were extremely friendly and wanted to take care of all their guests. The bathrooms were really well kept and smelled like they had just been cleaned each time I went in, despite the time of day. (Nicely done, William!) Campground was clean and very well managed. Plenty of potable water, despite other reviews. Looking forward to going back soon.

Lisa and William, our camp hosts were very warm, friendly, and helpful. They kept the campground in order and clean. Both had wealth of information to share. The restrooms were clean as William consistently tented to them, always working on something while Lisa was very engaged with visitors making everyone feeling comfortable. Would definitely visit this place again, primary because of our hosts.

Fantastic campground steeped in all the enchantment and magic of Big Sur. Friendly folks and a variety of spaces available. Site 35 was quite large but much of the ground was sloped; I was happy to place my tent on a soft patch of grass near the road at the front of the site; I was worried it might not be as private but it was perfect and woke me up with sun in the mid-morning and shaded in the afternoon. Glimpses of the ocean through the trees and the mountain to the north. Private but with a full view of the campground; pleasantly surprised by a black cat that passed through multiple times and tons of birds including quail. Bathrooms made a nice addition but the sinks were not in order.

The camp host was so great! They were so friendly and helpful, highly recommend using them again for your park. And of course, Plaskett is such a beautiful campground.

Beautiful location, bathrooms sinks were not working but thats okay. Make sure you lock up your food in your car or in a secure place since we had raccoons open up our bins and a skunk sneak off with a box of cookies.

Site 16 has shade in the morning and then full sun the rest of the day.

Campground is ok. Really far from everything and look out for ticks at nearby beaches. Camp ground and the closest gas station only takes cash so dont depend on using your card in a pinch. No cell service. No working sinks in bathrooms, they are all turned off. Bring your own portable shower. Skunks run the campground at night. Lock all your food in your car.

Great location. However, due to its remoteness, it's a free-for-all as far as lack of rule enforcement and what to expect from those you are camping nearby. Be wary.

Really amazing campground with access to incredible hikes and beaches. Its pretty much an open layout, so expect to get to know your neighbors and neighbors neighbors. Clean and well kept. The camp host was awesome. Only downside was the bathroom sinks didnt work. Otherwise, its highly recommended.
@ManojKum3C4742 · Camped on May 23, 2025 at Campsite #21
The campground was very clean and the host was very nice. The restrooms were kept very clean. There is a lot of area in the center of the campground for the kids to play. The beach nearby was very accessible too and the kids had a great time. The campsites under the shade of the trees are significantly cooler than the rest. We had to wear sweaters on overcast days during the day. Overall, we had an amazing Memorial Day long weekend.

The campground was everything we had hoped for. Our camp hosts William and Lisa were awesome. We would come back again.
@VicS15E49E31DA · Camped on May 19, 2025 at Campsite #37
Campground very clean. Bathroom sinks all not available for use. Very little traffic noise due to Hwy. 1 closure further north. While good to use campground-provided firewood,$15/bundle a bit high for what you get (bring kindling or fire starters). Camp hosts friendly and helpful.

Beautiful campground, great location, awesome hosts. Clean bathrooms with flush toilets - so fancy living! Highly recommend. A little pricey for a campground, but the location and amenities justify it. Will stay again.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
